Mike Bell the #12 RB this week? (1 Viewer)

Just checking the rankings that came out today and Bell is at the #12 for RB's. I think this is a little too generous in my opinion. The Eagles are not going to stick with the run consistantly they never do. Besides that I think it is a RBBC with Bell/Schmitt/Buckley with maybe 20 carries between all of them.

I think Buckley fits the mold of McCoy better then all of them and I could see him getting some playing time to give Kolb the check down. Also I think you have to bump Celek up the boards this week. Kolb will check down to Celek when at all possible.

I just can't see Bell being ranked ahead of LT, Forte, DWill, Turner, Charles. I think FBG's have lost their minds with this ranking. I see him more around 30th RB this week with the likes of B. Jackson, Tolbert, Snelling.

I know it is only early projections but I will have to question this if he stays around the same position come Saturday.

Who's rankings?

Yes, this is clearly an over rank and maybe over reaction. McCoy might even play. Without leanard weaver they dont have anyone they would trust besides bell, but unfortunately for me because i face him, i see alot of kolb to celek. and kolb should be throwing all day in general. The niners play a tough run D anyway, and with a barely above average run line, and mike bell, its hard to see more than 15 total carries for all the rb's they would use, combined.

I think he gets around 60 yards at this point, and that sounds about right. That ranking definitely stood out when I was reviewing them as well, but it's early rankings so don't put too much stock in them just yet.

Dodds/Tremblay

They are going to have everyone blowing up the Waiver Wire to grab this guy. I wouldn't mind grabbing him but the way of this early ranking you would have to break bank to grab him.

I will stick with my Buckley prediction and say he gets some good production this week.

this is probably based on a wrong assumption that bell will be heavily used in the passing game like mccoy last week. the eagles backfield works like the pats when they dont have a #1 guy they like.

The good thing is that your opinion is the only thing that counts when putting your lineup in. Bell could be a top 5 this week, or he could be #30. Once the game kicks off the ranking do not mean squat.

What does this even mean? You will have to question this? Like "OMG, I don't agree with their rankings, they must change them!!!"It's your lineup, you rank em how you want. I'll take Dodds ranking over yours, since he has been doing me pretty well for years.

Andy Reid said there is a good chance McCoy plays.
Asking rhetorically, but why in the world would you risk it? San Fran seems in a tail spin and you would have to think Philly can beat them without McCoy. So why risk further injury when they are dead in the mix in the nfc east?

I don't think it's a slam dunk they win w/o Vick. Kolb does not look great by any stretch and San Fran is not quite as bad as their record. If he can play, he'll help them.

It is a winnable game even without McCoy, but not a slamdunk on the road in primetime vs. a desperate team. Plus after SF, they get Atlanta, @Tenn, Indy. There are no easy games left on their schedule. Their only nondivisional games after those are Chicago, Minnesota, and Houston. They could lose all of those even with Vick.

But as I understand it, McCoy has an injury that could get worse if he plays and gets hit a certain way. Why risk your stud rb, why not sit and let him get healthy? I just dont see reid playing him this weekend.

They always let Westbrook play hurt if he could stand the pain.2006 Niners/Eagles12 touches, 164 yds, 3 TDs

Lighten up, Francis. If everyone here agreed then 75% of the threads would be moot. Let the man have his opinion and skip the abuse.

I think he prefers to be called "Frank".

I am not saying I am better then Dodds, why else would I pay the annual FBG's fee? All I was saying is WOW Mike Bell really? Especially Philly being the "heavy" run first team that they are, and Bell being the "Stud RB" that he is so far this year. It just caught my eye and I wanted to know what the shark pools point of view was. I watch alot of Eagles games so I was just surprised that's all. If Bell lights it up Sunday night I will be first in line cheering - but if anyone is going to light it up with Kolb at QB it will be Celek IMHO.

For me the question comes down to whether Bell can be sucessful catching passes out of the backfield vs. the 9ers. I don't think he's ever excelled in that role in his limited time - he has like 6 receptions for his career.

So then it's either Buckley or Schmitt - who looked decent on a couple of balls last week, and has 7 receptions for 70 yards on the year.

new orleans needed a 1min drive and last second fg to beat sf. vs atl, sf only needed nate clements to take a damn knee. sf is not a guaranteed pushover.

Bell has shown nothing since he got here in the offseason that he should even warrant a 20+ ranking.

I see Buckley getting most of the carries but even then I see Reid turning this into an air show.

agreed. similar to the overranking of ladell betts last week and this week. I'd say it more likely bell puts up those kind of #'s than top 12 ones.
