Mike Hart (1 Viewer)

Per Rotoworld:

Mike Hart (ankle) returned to a full practice on Wednesday.

Hart is on track to return against the Cowboys, but his role is totally up in the air, regardless of Donald Brown's struggles. At the very least, Hart should pass rookie Javarris James as the Colts' short-yardage specialist.

So is Brown's recent play bad enough for the Colts to give significant carries to Hart? He had a 3 game streak of 11/50/1, 11/43/0, and 12/84/0 +3/19 receiving (vs. KC, Was, Hou, respectively). The first two games were with both Donald Brown and Joseph Addai out, and the last game he split time with an ineffective Brown (9/16/0). Assuming Hart is healthy, do we expect him to split carries with Brown again? And is he good enough that 10-12 touches will get a serviceable fantasy line? My guess is Hart is a solid bet for 50-60 yards, with a 50% chance of a TD.

IMO Hart is light years better than Brown. More vision, more pop, no contest in my eyes. If Hart comes out looking like he did before his injury, he will swiftly take the touches from Brown.

I'm curious about this too. I'm a Gore owner and I picked up Dixon, but I don't think he's a great play against GB this week. My other option right now is Blount, but I'm thinking Hart could be a better play against a bad Dallas D.

I disagree. The sample size is so small you can't make that judgement--the games Brown has started his blocking has been horrible. Big difference running against SD and NE; Hart had good games against KC and HOU AT HOME. Brown had done well before last week and not too many backs have had success against SD.
