Mike Kafka - Dynasty (1 Viewer)

Grabbed him in dynasty 2QB league. Obviously this is Vicks team and Young is there too, but anything to see here long term? He looked impressive and really didn't miss a throw. Maclin dropped a nice pass at the end.

Good size, seemed accurate and made quick decisions. Could he be a Kolb/Schaub type who gets traded to start somewhere?

Wish I had Waldmans RSP from 2 years ago.

ever since he's got to Philly the staff has raved about him and even said he's the smartest QB they've been around at that point in their development. I doubt they move him anytime soon cause they'll want a stong #2 and he's signed through 2013 for peanuts. Could be a long wait, but he'll likely get some starts here and there in the mean time...

Of the young, back-up QBs, where does he rank? (Kafka, Flynn, Hoyer, etc)

I like this kid a lot, and have stashed him in deeper leagues where I had the room. IN 2 QB dynasty leagues with even average sized rosters, he should already be rostered. If not...make him a top waiver priority. He's already as good or better than Young. IN shallower leagues, he's no more than a Vick handcuff. It could be 2 or more years before he gets a real shot in Philly or elsewhere.

Vick puts up all world numbers when healthy, but with his style, he'll never stay healthy. It might be just me, but I've also seen more dumb passes and inaccurate passes from him than he made last year. It's not out of the realm of possibility that Kafka is the QB of the future in Philly, even if that future is at least 2 years away.

ETA: Kafka is the reason Philly felt comfortable trading Kolb away. Considering the starter is a guy who is a virtual lock to miss 3 or 4 games every year...that should say a TON.
