Mike Sims-Walker ***INACTIVE - TODAY*** (1 Viewer)

This is why I hate the 1pm Sunday deadlines for lineups in my main league. I have argued for years against this, and I'm finally going to get ####ed by this rule.

Well I can change my lineup but because I traded for Jennings before today's games and depleted my WR core, I'm stuck starting Royal now. So for all intents and purposes I might as well be starting no one. What in the world did MSW do?

Not his fault. I finally put him in my starting lineup, so this was inevitable.

(KFFL) The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced WR Mike Thomas will start for WR Mike Sims-Walker during Week 5. Sims-Walker has been declared inactive for the game for violation of an undisclosed team rule.

I'd love to know what he did. If he just was late, I hope the Jags lose by 40 and Del Rio gets fired. If the violation was more eggregious, then maybe it was the right call.

They could have benched him for the opening series and fined him though. This is a punishment to the whole team, the fans of the team, and fantasy footballers the world over.

exactly

This just in: JdR figured out he was playing the Sims-Walker owner in his favorite league this week.

There are few team rules I can possibly imagine would actually warrant this treatment. I chalk it up to another sign JdR is unfit to coach in my book.

Thank goodness for Braylon Edwards. At least I'll get 0 from a player who can come into the game.

Mike Thomas, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday 10/11, 2:15 PM CT

The Jaguars confirmed that Mike Thomas will start against the Seahawks in place of Mike Sims-Walker, who has been deactivated because he violated team rules.

Our View: Thomas is more of a slot receiver, and the rookie has only six catches this year. We don't recommend using him unless you are scrambling to replace Sims-Walker. We don't feel as good about David Garrard after hearing this news.

Will the Jags release the infraction at some point? Just curious, because I don't believe MSW has a history of T.O. / Plax, etc. type behavior.

By sheer luck I have Garcon on the bench...guess he gets the go. If I had started Garcon instead of my other WR, I would not have had an active player left. Maybe he salvages this bad day.

Unfit to coach? you're ridiculous.obviously it was something bad enough to warrant not playing today. It's hilarious watching you people whine and complain as if JDR gives a crap about your fantasy football team. Get over it and move on.

We just changed it this year, and it's saving my bacon today. Woke up from a nap, checked my scores and saw this thread, so :hifive: to FBG for being on this.Went out to our site at 4:10 to change and :lmao: all my guys are locked!! I'm the commish, but not the website guy, so I got on the horn quickly to our guy and reminded him that we changed that rule.(B Marshall in, for those of you worried about who I'm starting instead.)

Such crap. I can't pull him out of my lineup because the game started. I even have Braylon Edwards available on my bench. Sims-Walker WTF!!!

Yeah, me too. Found out too late but didn't have any guys that I could plug in anyway..my others all had 1pm games :hifive:
