I was one of the biggest trashers of him. I hated him at Atlanta and hated the press he got for what little he actually did on the field.

But my God. What a change the man has made. He is a complete QB now, throwing with precision and finesse and grace under pressure, and every Tuesday off for the last 2 years he has gone to a local school here in Philly and talked to the kids about doing the right thing. Don't #### up like he did, don't take the easy way out.

I look back on my life and am not proud of a lot of #### I did in my 20s. I never was involved in dogfighting. But I was the ####### starting fights in bars every week. I have a DUI on my record and have asked my share of 2nd chances. Who am I not to give the man his?

Alot of people can't forgive Vick for what he did, and I'm sure he doesn't give a #### about what I think. But he has impressed me on and more importantly off the field. I just wanted it in print that I've gone from thinking he's the biggest farce to being one of the greatest redemption stories in the NFL. Just wanted to go on the record. Good job Mike.

After making a horrible horrible choice, he has a new focus in life, football (should of been all along, but he even says it wasn't in ATL), and its showing.

Not sure why you want to merge this with the other thread. Other than having Mike Vick in common the two are about completely different things. This one is praising Vick for making the best out of his 2nd chance, the other is trying to root for him to fail. I want nothing to do with that thread.

I read all about Ron Mexico and his exploits.

Ive read all about the dog fighting.

Dont get me started on his brother.

I watched Vick in Pro's vs Joe's, hes still a dbag.

Ive had to come to terms with rooting for the 'QB Eagles'. I did it for very too many years in Super Tecmo Bowl, I figure I can keep on doing it. In all seriousness, its been very difficult for me to root for one of my most hated athletes. I figure he gets a second chance on the field and I am happy for him. Will I ever like Mike Vick as the person? Highly unlikely
