I hate when reporters do this. What exactly is this based on?

latest rotoworld report

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Mike Williams' (foot) status going forward will depend on "how he responds" to treatment.

The Seahawks don't seem to know exactly what's wrong. "He did something very unusual to his foot," said Carroll. "It might not be as serious as we originally thought, but we're going to have to wait and see how he responds." Carroll revealed that Williams "felt something pop," which is never a good sign. Fantasy owners should be making other plans for Week 12.

Gates like? Plantar fascia? But is that unusual?

Hey wait at first it said "might be serious", not "might not be serious"... Rotoworld is still reporting it might be serious, not that I put much weight in Rotoworld reporting

Well, if it might be serious, it also stands to reason that it might not be serious.

Any word today on the foot injury?
Nothing more so far but the whole "pop" issue has me nervous and I have to drop someone. I chose to drop BMW over Nate Washington tonight simply based on the remaining schedule. Those of you that can afford to hang on to him, I would but he probably won't be starting this weekend.

LMAO!!! :hey: Just perfectly illustrates how worked up we all get over these early week reports..."WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!!! This is the first I've heard that it might NOT be serious." lol.

His a current injury update and a good article on BMW.

Man with Britt coming back soon I'm having a tough choice of dropping BMW based on this article.

Mike Williams Comback Player
"He might be running around (today). It might be a couple of weeks. We know it's not something serious. He didn't tear something, a tendon or a ligament. It's a matter of how this thing responds."
Odd injury, no one has any idea how long this will be.

Frustrating with three Thursday games too.

Jesus the search function sucks. Type in 'mike williams' in the advanced search options this forum only, title only and this thread comes up in the middle of the second page of hits, behind a bunch of mike vick threads...

Anyway, looks like the hawks and X are about to agree on a 3 year extension, as per Glazer.

Good for him. I know it was entirely his fault that he has to "come back" this year but that doesn't diminish the story much to me. As long as he stays the "new" Mike of course.

Mike had pretty awful QB play this year, and some injuries, and he still put up pretty solid numbers. Any chance the Seahawks draft a QB day 1 or get a FA upgrade? If so, I think his value continues to rise.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't draft a QB in round 1. Everything seems to point to it, especially the short deal for Clipboard Jesus. Unless they go for Kolb or someone like that. Still, my money's on draft day moves to get one of the big QBs.

SEA would be a good landing spot for Kolb, maybe a conditional 3rd rounder? As far as Williams goes, his 10 season looks like his floor for the time being.

From all the rumors, they will be lucky if Philly parts with him for only a 1st. They have no reason to deal him this offseason so I expect the price tag to be huge.

Posturing. Kolb has become expendable and they'll play the we-will-keep-Kolb-game, but will move him by or on draft day.

Just curious why Kolb is expendable. They're going to want a good backup for Vick regardless, and Kolb is not expensive to keep next season. Not sure why they would trade him away unless they're getting something worthwhile.

No way Kolb gets moved for a third. It'll take at least a first.

Notsofastmyfriend. If the FA for players returns to 4 years, there will be as large a talent base for free agency as there has ever been, with the backlog of players who were “limbo” free agents this past year joining the new crop of free agents reaching the end of their fourth year in the league. Add the draft of incoming players and the market shifts away form Philly's asking price. The Cassel trade to KC is a somewhat similar comp and they gave up a 2 and got Vrabel as well.

Done deal, terms not yet disclosed.
