I'll ask an obvious question, any chance you are related to DeAngelo?  Maybe like a distant cousin or something?  Just spitballing here but what if the DNA they were looking for was a distant match and they went through your paternal biological family tree to get all the way to DeAngelo?  You may have helped catch him if that was the case.  Thoughts?

Possible I suppose. I don't know that side of the family at all except for one Aunt who no longer talks to any of my family. What I do know about his family was they were pretty screwed up. The Detective that I spoke with had said that my father had connections to the various areas that crimes committed. I hadn't thought of this angle at all. I think I will need to find the FBI agent's card and call him.
