Minn D/ST high ranking this week (1 Viewer)

Weekly FBG projections have Minn D ranked quite high (in my opinion) vs. Dallas. Curious what others think about this - I'm inclined to think Romo lights up the MN pass Def, and MN pass rush has declined significantly last few weeks.

Thoughts......?

And they'll be missing a starting saftey iirc (don't remember his name). I agree about them being a less than stellar start - unless you think Romo is going to duplicate his performance @ BUF a couple of weeks ago. I'm benching them for HOU @ home vs. TN - and hopefully Collins (or even VY) will help the cause.

I have the Colts Def and was thinking about playing them over Min this week. I too don't understand the high ranking this week.

You have to look at the scoring system that FBG uses for defenses for this.

I believe that it is just 1 point for a sack, and 2 for a turnover.

MIN has done well in generating both.

That's my best guess.

Yea, I think that's it. They don't care about how many yards or points are scored versus the Minnesota D, they're only concerned with turnovers caused and sacks, and any return TDs. Dallas has been prone to mistakes even in their good games, so it's not inconceivable to think Minnesota has a good game, even if they get 30-40 points put up on them.

I can't see it at all. I have TN and MN and did not even think about starting MN. Of course I have Romo, and I think he'll shred their secondary, so that had something to do with it. As for Pasquino's comments, it's not as if Romo's easy to sack. I think they'll be one of the lower scoring DEF's this week

I have both Dallas DT and MN DT, and I am starting Dallas. First, it is in Dallas. Second, I think that Romo and TO will have a good game; you have to be able to pass to defeat Vikings DT and I think Dallas can do that. On the other side, the Dallas DT should be able to stop AP. I just don't see TJax and the passing game being able to keep the run defense honest--so I see 8 in the box. AP will still get his, but it won't be a cakewalk.

If they're available, Kansas City DEF is a good bet against the Raiders. High number of sacks and Oakland Oline gives up sacks.

My league gives bonuses for low scores, negative points for high scores against. My custom FBG's Cheatsheet has Min higher than I would have thought (top 10, significantly).
