Minnesota is done, put a fork in them. (1 Viewer)

They might be the worst team in the NFL.. Seriously.

My prediction this weekend: Arizona 24, Vikes 10 Freaking book it.

They stink.

How can they win this weekend? They can't. We have the worst coach in the NFL. We have no receivers. Rice can't even sprint yet nor is he playing, BB has stone hands, Harvin has a gimpy ankle. Shiancoe is leading TEs in penalties. Favre looks like he should be living in a van by the river (which might soon be the case).

We can't win. We stink.

Um, I think you forgot someone.......my prediction Adrian Peterson 21 Cardinals 17

They don't stink just because Moss is gone. I think the wheels came off the bus when the team begged Favre to come back one more time, one more time.

The team is garbage, but they have a pretty winnable schedule. Peterson can win this game on his own. All the coaches have to do is make him the focus of the gam.....oh, I see what you're saying.

Yeah. They could lose.

As bad as MIN sucks this year... they will still run all over ARI.

Big day for AP and maybe even Gerhart in the 4thQ garbage time.

I know you are hoping to hear somebody prop you up here. This isn't that kind of response. You guys do stink. The only chance you have at winning more than 6 games is to dump Chilly and promote Frazier. At that point you put the entire season on the back of ADP and hope he doesn't burn out. What the heck happened to Jared Allen? He owned Green Bay last season, and this year they didn't even try to rush him. The Williams sisters look to be a shell of former glory. This team just lacks any type of mission at all. I think you probably have one of the more talented teams in the conference. You have perhaps the best running back of his generation. But you are starting to look like the Barry Sanders era Lions out there.

And in other news, the Cardinals are starting Derek Anderson against the Vikings.

the coaches need to make brett "wiener texter John Edwards II" favre stick to short passes, and giving the rock to A "take it to the house 10 times" Peterson and then they will win. When Brett decides he is gonig to be the star of the show and chuck it all over the place namely to the other team they lose and when they muzzle him they win so actuallychilly was probably right the whole time.

Favre is on his farewell tour. He's not going to be happy just handing the ball off 30 times a game.
he should be happy not being suspended for breaking Deanna's heart with his weiner texting and running around on her and sexually harassing massage workers while she was recovering from breast cancer... I wonder if he wore pink during breast cancer awareness month because he is an insult to everything that month stands for with his actions and in all honesty i hope Sterger sings like a canary so that the full two faced fan heart braking nature of his deception will be clear to all and his legacy appropriately adjusted. So farewell tour - who cares -- he should be happy he hasn't been benched or suspended. The streak is a number but his actions are what he is as a man.

That's a long, incomprehensable sentance, followed by a short one.

Weeks 9-13 present very good match ups, save the WK 11 vs. GB. They also have a home game WK 15 with CHI so that makes two games vs. Cutler and his woeful O line. AZ is starting Derek Anderson and who knows what will be going on with Shanny by WK 12, followed by WK 13 at home vs. Buffalo. Minny has stunk up the joint as the OP has indicated, but their future opponents are also pretty putrid. I think the D/ST is worth a look.

WK 09: AZ

WK 10: @ CHI

WK 11: GB

WK 12: @ WAS

WK 13: BUF

The D is no good anymore, and the offense has down, too, apart from Harvin and Adrian. But yeah, weeks 9 through 17 are pretty kind, absent the games against NYG and Philly. Green Bay is just as bad, Rodgers has regressed just as much as the Vikes D has if not more so. They may have won last week, but they were held without a touchdown. Big whoop.

Chicago could easily go 2-7 to finish off the season. Green Bay will be lucky to get 3 more wins the rest of the way. But the Vikings have no teeth. Only chance is if Rice (Who is running from the footage I saw from yesterdays practice) can come back sooner rather than later. And the D-Line needs to play.

Terrible division.

Jared Allen made a living off of a rookie, second team tackle and an injured shell of a tackle. I think a few of his sacks also came against a gurd playing tackle. This year, not so much.

As for the Williams wall they have dropped off now that they are not taking steriods. See Shwan Merriman's story, same thing.

Have you been reading my posts? You can't sacrifice team unity and any shred of organizational integrity and suffer no consequences. However, pretty much every vikes fan on this board was ok with the second (desperate) courtship of Favre, so as far as I'm concerned in for a penny, in for a pound.

I'd love to hear your arguments that reasonably conclude that Green Bay is better than Minnesota, Atlanta, Detroit, New England, New York Giants, and Chicago. You got Dallas and San Fran, and every other game will be a war for Green Bay the rest of the way.
Considering they've already beaten Minnesota and Detroit once, that's pretty good evidence. I'll also posit that Chicago has regressed since they beat Green Bay.

I laughed at your claim that they will be lucky to get 3 more wins.Arguments to conclude they are better than Minnesota.-they already beat them once.-their QB does not have a broken ankle-their defense is better, can pressure the QB, and is likely getting back a pretty decent corner to help even more.-they didn't trade a 3rd round pick for a 4 week rent-a-decoy-they are not coached by Brad ChildressDetroit...they are getting better and historically have played GB tough at home. I wouldn't call it lucky for GB to beat them.Chicago...at Lambeau...their Oline stinks...they're coaching is terrible and they are in a downfall right now. GB is the better all around team.Yes, the Giants, Atlanta, and New England game will definitely be tough...but not impossible. People said the same thing about the Jets and GB shut them out.Barring injuries to Matthews or Rodgers...3 wins would not be "lucky" as you call it.Id love to hear your argument that 3 wins would be lucky. I guess you can keep your biased view that GB just sucks. But that is not really reasonable at all.

-their QB does not have a broken ankle

-their defense is better, can pressure the QB, and is likely getting back a pretty decent corner to help even more.

-they didn't trade a 3rd round pick for a 4 week rent-a-decoy

-they are not coached by Brad Childress

It should be pretty obvious that concluding the overall strength of a team based on only whether they won a game or not (ex: Min, Det) is pretty flawed thinking. Green Bay was already lucky to beat Minnesota (injuries to Brett be-damned) and Detroit, given that Detroit was never out of the game until the final drive. Green Bay shut out Mark Sanchez. That might impress you but it didn't do much for me. 2 fg's and one off a gimme from Rex's arrogance doesn't show me that Green Bay's got an edge over anyone. So yeah, 3 division games that Green Bay will be lucky to end up splitting with Chicago, and add to that obvious losses to Atlanta, NYG, NEP and it is pretty clear that Green Bay is about to be exposed. It's not a biased view that Green Bay just sucks, it's watching Aaron Rodgers play like Tony Romo. Much more hype there than substance. Clay Matthews has been great this year, but he can't do everything by himself.

ETA: Oh yeah, I didn't even mention that the Vikings have Hank Baskett. So. You know, check and mate.

At this point it is difficult to say what Green bay is, over than an extremely injured team putting out a patchwork lineup from week to week.It does appear that Green Bay may be getting healthier, though they will not be getting back Finley, Barnett, Grant, Morgan, Poppinga, Neal and others. Still, they will be getting back Pickett. They will be getting Cullen Jenkins hand back. they may have an influx from Harris, Bigby, and Starks. Their pending buy may get Driver and Quarless and Lee healthier. If the Packers can get healthy and have some stability they can easily be improved after their buy.Lots of "ifs", sure, but they have shown the character to struggle through great adversity this year so tht coupled with a little prosperity may do wonders. By the same token, but the obverse side, any additional adversity may be the straw that breaks this camels back.

That's a short sentence with TWO misspellings in it.

They were "lucky" to beat Minny because you say so (given your own bias there, that is funny). It impresses me given how they did it (shutting down the run) and the FACT that your dislike for Sanchez or not, that was a pretty solid offense going into that game. Given the injuries to the Dline...its a pretty solid thing to go on.

Obvious losses? Just like going to NY was an obvious loss to the Jets right?

You are basing it on your dislike for the Packers and Viking bias...nothing more. There is little substance to your posts.

That short sentence ending with a prepositional phrase is nonsense up with which I shall not put! :goodposting:

Frazier. The guy who is running the defense that hasn't had a sack in three games. The defense that can't get a critical stop EVER. That guy should be promoted. And that's somehow going to make the team better.I keep hearing this and I don't get it.

Well, me and the fact that the refs apologized to Childress for screwing the game up.

I guess its just "lucky" that they only have 2 wins right?

No. It's unlucky.

Not even close. You got to drop a whole lot farther to get to Carolina bad.

Both teams suck. When the Lions can hang with you guys in your own stadium its time to stop thinking your team is Super Bowl bound. The trip to Detroit isn't going to be cake walk.

Wow. Vikes fans are kind of a dark group. Huh? Never realized.

And here I was thinking that the Vikes DST were a good start vs ARI. No Harvin on returns, ok, but still Derek Anderson at QB? In the HHH Dome?

The team will be challenged post the Moss waiver?

Favre still *thinks* he can do it? The Bucs (!) put 38 on the Cards.

Personally I'd love the Vikes to keep losing until they were completely out of the playoff picture but they've come close vs Green Bay and New England, near misses vs the Phins and Jets, so the Cards seem pretty inferior to all that.

Are you nuts? The Cards are a juggernaut compared to us. Cards 40, Vikes 10 (new prediction)

Nice thread. A couple of Vikes fans with absolutely no hope left and one bitter fan lashing out at all the other North Division teams.
I never said a negative thing about Detroit, in fact I believe they will defeat Green Bay because Green Bay...is overrated and was lucky to beat them the first time, just as Chicago was lucky to beat Detroit. I'll lash out against Chicago and Green Bay without batting an eyelash, though.
