Minnesota minor league hockey thread (1 Viewer)

Anyone catch 12 Monkeys? I have it DVRd but was curious if SyFy did their SyFy thing and hosed it
Watched it. Way better production quality and less cheese than typical SyFy programming. Although seems like they explained too much first episode.

Chick that sits behind me is flipping out because her son got in a fight at school. Kid is like 10 or something. Has had two fights with this one other kid now. So she's just hammering away at the phones all upset. She just called the district to see if she could pull both of her sons from school.

Overreact much?

I don't think you're overreacting at all.

I got into a few fights when I was younger. Won a few, lost a few more than I won. I wouldn't encourage it or anything, but I think pulling her kids from a school after two fights is a tad ridiculous. Talk to them about it, tell them to defend themselves as they need to but not to be the aggressor, let it go if you've won/don't seriously hurt the other person, etc.

I dunno beyond that, as long as there were no serious injuries/it didn't go too far, kids fight

never got in a fight in my entire life (outside of sports).

if I heard that my kid had been in two fights recently, I'd want to know wtf was going on first before pulling anybody out of anything. I don't want my kid going to school and having to waste time thinking about anything other than learning what they're teaching. and getting laid.

Her offspring is weak, impale her.

Is this a safe place to talk about No. 16 pooping on the nba thread? SPLASH BROTHERS!!!!1111
Only if I can continue to review wires as I watch it in here as well

PS just tried to read some of that and realized the NBA has passed me by. Dubs and chips? What?

Anyone watch The Knick? Its about the Knickerbocker Hospital in the 1900s. Clive Owen plays a cocaine-addicted surgeon that works on new procedures with both good and bad results. I've seen about 5 of them now, would recommend.

Also, I saw that Netflix is going to have its own Daredevil series? Watched a trailer and I'm down for that mother too.

I caught the first episode of The Knick but decided to wait for the season to be done and download all of it then. Thanks for the reminder.

No interest in Daredevil though. I'm done with anything superhero related.

Netflix Daredevil seemed a little bloodier. I'll give it a shot. I'm not much of a comic book nerd, so I don't know the Daredevil "story".

Better Call Saul premiers Sunday, and also Monday, but with two different episodes? Am I getting that right?

Second episode of Saul was fantastic. My wife likes it better than BB so far because it's not as dark. Let's see how many more broken legs it takes for her to change her mind.

Speaking of AHL, in case you haven't noticed, and judging by the attendance you haven't, our Admirals have managed to win a few here and there, and are threatening to climb into the Midwest Division lead  :banned:
One hit? That's all we got is one ### ####ed hit?

You can't say ### ####ed on the radio!

Ah what's the difference? No one's listening anyway.

Only minor gripe with wires at this point (S2 E7) is too many story lines. You got McNulty family issues, the union, Nicky and the Greeks, Ziggy and Cheese, Stringer's issues, people in jail, the new off-site detail, and the homicide department.
I am at the same point. My only gripe is how many times my wife asks "who is that?" or "Is he their boss" when they show Rawls, Burrell, or Landsman.
We are now almost done with season 4 and last night my wife asked "Is he the old white guy" when someone was talking about Rawls. I need to start responding with a simple "Sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!"

Finished season two. Enjoyable, but the last episode felt pretty rushed - we gotta tie up all these threads right now!

I'm ready for us to wrap up the whole Saul fights against the big bad law firm story line. Anyone else? Assuming he's going to get effed over somehow and then have to resort to working with Angel and Tuco.

Had wife watch the first episode of Bosch on Amazon Prime with me. I had watched like 6 months ago when just the pilot was available, now there's a whole season. Seems ok, I guess its based off of some Michael Connelly books. I'm sure I've read one of them once upon a time.

So far it's pretty cookie cutter hard-boiled detective stuff. But it has Herschel from the Walking Dead (playing a retired doctor), Marlo Stanfield as Bosch's partner and Lt. Daniels as his Chief. Woot!

I'm enjoying it. Maybe because I know people who wear Hamlindigo shirts.

Thanks for pointing this out. Gonna maybe fire it up tonight. Probably going to half pretend it's a sequel to The Wire.

It's fun to watch Marlo do cop stuff and then as he walks away think about him going to check on his corners.
