Crazier things have happened. I'm thinking the Vikings would need at least 34 to win this one.

I can see Ponder having some success if the Packers stack the box and dare the Vikings to pass all game, but ultimately there would be too many sacks and interceptions to keep pace with the Packers O.

Kind of concerned about The Mullet getting a few big shots on Rodgers.

Got to love the epic fail coming out of minnesota these days. Bunch of whiners that they are.
Never really realized how much the 2009 soul-selling to land Favre cost that team later on. Sure, they were a game away from the Super Bowl. But I don't think I'd want my squad to go through sustained non-competitiveness just for one deep playoff run.

Wouldn't shock me. This is basically the Vikings' Superbowl. They manage to sell this game out every year, and they're a different team in that Humpty Dump than on the road. I don't think we blow them out that's for sure..

It's really not fair to the rest of the league that the Packers, Lions and Bears get to schedule two Div 1-AA games this year.

Seriously, I am just hoping the Vikings don't get shutout. I expect the Vikings secondary to look foolish and I don't expect it to be anywhere close. It going to be very hard to watch.

I don't know which is the more lopsided matchup - Vikes/Packers or Gophers/Huskers.
Better matchup would be Nebraska / Viqueens
If I were you I would start eating crow, just so you get used to it before Sunday.
Got any recipes? You seem to need to eat it every week...I figure you know how to flavor it better than anyone.

You need me to link to every Packer game thread that you infest?

Do I pronounce victory in those threads? No. I am in this one though.

I've yet to see a Vikings game so I can't really comment on them too much then from what I see in the stat lines every week. To me it looks like a lot of incomplete passes from McNabb; so that teams are able to stack the box against AP and keep him contained.

The only chance for the Vikings is to somehow be able to complete the short to intermediate passes to force the Linebackers from just having their way with Run blitzes.

Also, the Vikings secondary would have to play exceptional in coverage as well as the Mullet. But Newhouse and Bulaga have been playing very well at tackle. I don't think The Mullet will be able to get to Rodgers as easily as he has in the past.

If the Packers receivers stop dropping as many passes as they have - it'll be lights out for the Vikings.

This still could be a blow out for the Packers regardless of what the Vikings try to do.

EDIT: to mention that the OP smells of desperation and denial. Your team sucks: accept it. Even if they were to beat the Packers this year 3-13 is nothing to be proud of.

You mean like a Hamm's beer?? or maybe a Grain Belt??But I don't want to degrade this thread of Awesomeness into a bunch of name calling. Please respond to my more salient points of why the Vikings will not win on Sunday.

The Fudge Packers are going to underestimate Ponder. They will stack the box against ADP and Ponder will make them pay. They will make adjustments at halftime, and then ADP will make them pay.

Who cares who wins the game on Sunday?! As long as Packer fans are doing a little of this after Jared Allen wipes out Aaron Rodgers on a blind-side, gets up and adds a little "championship belt" to his sack celebration, and the Matt Flynn Era begins in Green Bay:

I am an avid Vikings fan, hence the user name. But to say that the Vikings will beat the Pack and that Ponder is better than Rodgers, well, that is just crazy talk.
