Terry Tiffee is currently leading the PCL with a 1.219 OPS in 118 ABs. He's 29 though and plays 3B like everyone else in the Dodgers system.

DENVER -- The answer to what happens to Andy LaRoche when he's healthy came Saturday night. He was officially sent to the Minor Leagues. LaRoche, 24, who seemed to have the inside track at the starting third base job when Spring Training started, suffered a torn thumb ligament in a freak injury March 7, underwent surgery and has been on a Minor League injury rehabilitation assignment for two weeks.
ROUND ROCK, Texas -- The Round Rock Express made four player moves after Thursday's game against Tucson, releasing infielder Lance Niekro and outfielder Victor Diaz and adding infielder Richard Paz and right-hander Jack Cassel.Niekro, 29, was signed to a Minor League contract by the Houston Astros on Jan. 9 and batted .212 with two doubles and a home run in 17 games with the Express. Niekro, who appeared in parts of three seasons with the San Francisco Giants, is the son of late former Astros pitcher Joe Niekro, whose 144 wins rank first in Houston franchise history.
Also Max Scherzer got all the press this week but the Angels also called up one of their future pitching studs when NIck Adenhart was recalled. Adenhart wasn't good on Thursday but he'll get another chance Tuesday against the KC Royals.

Tiffee plays in Las Vegas which is an extremely friendly park for hitters - more extreme than Coors is for the Rockies.

Good point. Nice to see a guy around that long in the minors have a season like that though. He at least has a story for his grandkids.

It's a little sad but not surprising that Niekro has to go out and get a real job.It hasn't been long since he was the starting 1B for SF. Of course, that was before the Giants solved their problems at the position :moneybag:
