I am pleasantly surprised to see no MJD topics thus far today, considering he played a football game yesterday! Where's all the love guys? I thought he was the 3rd best RB in football, next to LT and God!! (ADP a close 4th)! I know everyone is going to say that Tenn has a tough run Defense, but if he is the proclaimed stud like 80% of this board thinks, he should have atleast run for 50 yds!!

How do all of you fantasy guru's feel now drafting him as your #1 overall RB??

5 for 13!! wow, a measely 2.6 avg!!

Even LJ, who everyone said is done, finished, the next Shaun Alexander, had a better game than your stud!

I wish you folks who think MJD is a top 5 player (not even RB), played in the same league that I do!

Do as search... in MANY dynasty league thread people crow about him being a top-5 talent, and that he just needs Taylor to retire. I honestly don't see him as a top-5 player, Taylor or not.

Taylor only averaged 2 YPC yesterday, and if you look at the numbers Taylor and Jones-Drew only had 14 total rushes between the two of them! Even if we include receptions, then Taylor had 10 touches to MJD's 9, and not going to be a typical outing. Rest assured that the Jags will improve on offense and that MJD will be back in my starting lineup winning $$$ for me in my leagues where I own him...

I think the reason he's so upset is he drafted him.To the OP. Your point (what little there is) is not even close to valid. Anyone who has played FF for more than a year or 2 understands that your studs don't produce each and every week. It's interesting that you harp on only MJD because you could easily find 10 mega-studs from yesterday that produced swill.

How do you feel about drafting Tom Terrific as your #1 QB, Fantasy Guru? What a ridiculous "I told you so" thread this is after one week of play. Two things I know for the rest of this season.1 MJD will play again2 Brady will not play again

I think he's arguably a #2RB in PPR formats, and TEN has a tough interior, even with Fat Concussed Albert. Jags never got the run game going. I'd take him if someone wanted to trade him to me.

It all depends on your scoring system in my league he finished number 4 in 2006 and number 6 last year. Also he starts slow he had 1 point in the first 2 games of 2006 and didnt hit his mark last year until game 5 after the bye. The only thing that concerns me about him at this point is the injuries to the O-line.

I don't post much in the SP, but I just can't seem to understand the thought process of the anti-MJD crowd. Basically heres their arguments:1. Fred Taylor is there2. He sometimes loses goal line carries to Jones3. He is very inconsistent and will often put up really bad weeksYou seem to be arguing for #3 in this thread.However, all 3 of these things have been true for the past 2 years yet MJD was still a top 10 back. So why do people continue to bring these up as if they will prevent him from being a top 10 back this year??? The logic simply astounds me.

I agree that it's only one game, and no reason. But he's going to have more like this. He just doesn't get that many touches, so he's going to be streaky. I do think he was overvalued in many drafts (often going in the 2nd round).

MJD did nothing against Tennessee in Week 1 last year too-7/32/0, 3/28/0. He still ended up the #9 RB in my 2 main leagues.

My comment was about MJD... go back to last year. He has been pretty worthless for the first quarter of the season. I own him, I have no bias against him. I still sat him because he usually doesn't get going until later in the season. Look at last year and the year before Sheesh... it wasn't hyperbole it was just the truth.... but apparently, if it's not what people want to hear, than it must be hyperbole and bias.

EBF and BS made an assertion, not an exposition. There's nothing to support any claim that I have a bias against MJD, because I simply don't. I don't follow the FBG part line, but that doesn't mean I dislike him. I see him for what he is. Sometimes the unpopular opinion is the correct one.
