Baseball Tonight sucks. Can't stand Steve Betrthume. All of the retired players they trot out there are pretty much devoid of personality outside of Kruk and Kruk's just redoing the same crap he's been doing for the last 10 years.

MLB Network puts out a great product. Love what they do for the most part. Only people I don't like on MLB Network are Jerry Manuel and Joe McGrane. Both are very rarely on. Kevin Millar's starting to wear on me though. If he could just tell me about his porcelains one more time......

Quick Pitch is a GREAT program.

Love how they let the team announcers make the calls instead of some talking head in the studio.

This should be a landslide...

Love Eric Byrnes. This week he already body checked Harold Reynolds off a chair and ran at full speed into a wall. All with a suit on and his funny mop of hair.

This isn't even close. MLB Network is top-notch, meanwhile Baseball Tonight has been on a steady decline. They've seen better days with Ravech, Reynolds, Gammons, Kruk, Kurkjian as the steady cast.

I guess in some ways the quality product MLB Network puts out has only magnified the imperfections of Baseball Tonight. Prior to the MLB Network, I don't recall having any problem watching Baseball Tonight.

I don't think these are really comparable programs. Frankly, I don't watch any of the highlight shows. Just want to see the live look-ins. If I miss something from the night before thats really spectacular, I'll catch the highlight online the next day.

I don't hate Baseball Tonight at all. It's more concise and I like some of those guys. MLB Tonight's awesome if you're just sitting on your ### bored though.

I remember thinking John Kruk would be awesome at this gig. Boy is he boring. Was wrong there.
I think it is about his supporting cast. He's pretty funny when there are lively guys to make jokes at his expense, but when he's the "star" of the show.... he brings nothing.

MLB Network by a wide margin.

As RN mentioned, it is really cool to hear the hometown announcers call the big plays.

"The Greatest Games" series was awesome. It was really impressive how much Bob Costas and Tom Verducci from SI did their homework. Even though I was familiar with the scenarios of the games, those two brought out a lot of small details that I had never heard before. And, their interviews of the players was also really good--my favorite Lou Piniella during the special on the Bucky F'n Dent game between the Yanks and Red Sox.

I do miss Hazel Mae on "Quick Pitch", but that is the only negative.

Bobby Valentine was initially very funny and truthful because it seemed that he didn't really give a crap because he thought he would never get another big league gig.

But ever since he was interviewed for the Marlins job last year he has toned it way down. I think he believes he has another shot, ala Showalter.

Last Sunday's Indians-Giants game down? He was ripping on the Tribe pretty hard.
