#### Errybody... I was legit hoping Bill and Mac only threw one pass all game... because America.
The only thing better than winning a fight, is winning a fight well you tell guy you're fighting every time you're gonna throw a right or left... but you still land em.
If you're looking for raspberrys, I'd give it to the Buffalo D line. They couldn't tackle a Pat RB all night to save their lives. Knox had a couple of drops, but hardly anyone made good catches in this game - Jonnu Smith's was probably the best of the night. The false start was one of a dozen plays that you could point to, and it was immediately followed by a much bigger play when the Pats jumped offside at the snap and gave Allen a free play.

Except the Pats didn’t actually enter the neutral zone so it WASN’T a free play and it ended up being a rushed wasted play. That’s like the 4th or 5th time they’ve done that and ended up with negative plays that really hurt them.
The run defense is obviously a huge weakness and deserves plenty of blame, but they still held the Pats to 14 points. Buffalo’s offense turned 4 trips into the red zone into just 10 points. They averaged starting at their own 40 yard line for field position. IMO, this loss is on the offense, not the defense.

Yeah, sort of . . . I guess. It was pretty evident NE was going to keep running the football until either the Bills defense could stop them or the Bills offense started putting up points. They didn't, so NE went into a turtle strategy, stuck their heads in their shell, and won the game. The onus was on Bufalo to adjust on either side of the ball. They did start throwing more offensively late in the game, but it was too late. IMO, the Pats limited themselves to 14 points more than the Bills only allowed them 14 points. For example, if Buffalo scored 20 points, no way would the Pats have just called 30 rushing plays in a row and been content to stay behind all game. NE was fine with milking the clock and trusting the defense.
BB had his usual Monday morning radio phone interview and they asked him about facing the Bills again at home in 3 weeks. He was happy about it saying the Bills haven't seen any passing plays, NE showed them practically nothing both offensively and defensively, and their options are pretty vast for what they will do in the rematch. He seemed happy that the Naval Academy game plan was good enough to win at Orchard Park . . . and the Bills won't know what to expect in a few weeks.
One would think in Game 2 that the Bills will have 8 or 9 guys in the box and some of those running plays will turn into play action seam routes for easy chunk plays. Bill being Bill, he might throw 35 times in the first half next time. Should the Bills lose to TB and NE again, they would probably be somewhere around 50/50 to make the playoffs (obviously, it would depend on what happened to other teams).
Fully agree. BUF and KCC have similar issues with a strong downfield passing attack but weak running game. Teams can play this shell coverage, make passing difficult, and just dare them to run the ball... which they cannot take advantage of.
