**MNF - Buccaneers at Chiefs** (-9, 45.5) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

Mahomes against the absolute worst pass defense in the league vs QBs and he can't get it going. Honestly what a terrible fantasy QB he has been in the past year.

I made a horrible mistake trading away Burrow for Mahomes in the offseason in a dynasty league.

I just couldn't believe he could be that terrible again boy was I wrong.
uhhhhhhhhh......?

Pretty sure that's one instance where a vast majority would have agreed with a 2 pt try regardless if they made it or not

Don't give Mahomes a chance
Mahomes still got the ball back with 27 seconds left. They were 1 play for 15 yards away from giving Butker a chance to kick a FG. OT was never guaranteed even if they make the 2 point conversion.

Terrible decision to not go for 2 in that situation. You have to take the ending out of Mahomes hands and that’s the only way you can do it. Couple of tough press conferences in a row for Bowles

You’re right. But that was only because Bowles called a terrible timeout

kc homer....told all my love ones TB will go for two if they score (same in the BAL game)....when I saw Baker trotting off the field I honestly couldn't believe it....I was like "thank you".....you were supposed to lose anyway ....why wouldn't you go for it.....4-4 why not....teams have to have a ton of plays they are confident in from two yards out.....seriously....even if if you don't make it, your team and fans think you had the confidence in them when you had the other team on their heels....I don't get it...

Something I was thinking about after the game: Is Mahomes less dangerous with 27 seconds in a TIED game than if KC was trailing by 1? I think the answer is obviously yes. Keeping the game tied de-escalated KC's last drive.

My initial reaction was that the Bucs should have gone for two, but that would have just propelled the KC offense to get into scoring position to re-take the lead. KC's play calling would have been more aggressive to get into FG position being down one, and thus sealing the Buc's fate.

Alternatively, playing for OT had more merit than I originally considered... because of the time left on the clock (and KC's timeouts). Had TB done a better job of leaving less time on the clock before they scored, then the decision to go for 2 is more clear.

There was only time left on the clock because Bowles took a timeout, or had Baker take a timeout, after the play down to the one yard line with 35 seconds on the clock. Stupid move number one.

Then going for the extra point after the TD was just cowardly. Stupid move number two.

Sure, they'd have been going for it on that 4th and 1, but they never should have even touched the ball again. Tampa could have ran the ball on first down from the 1 yard line and then thrown it into the end zone three times without ever using their timeout. Get the TD with no time left. Go for 2. If you don't get it then fine at least you tried. Under no circumstances do you ever let Patrick Mahomes touch the ball again in that game. He already had back to back 70+ yard TD drives on your defense in the 4th quarter.

THEN Bowles has the audacity to say he decided to kick because of the "wet conditions." WHAT?!

The man is a buffoon.

Yeah, the "wet conditions" attempted excuse was hilarious and speaks to the fact he simply does not know any better. If anything, the wet conditions made the XP more sketchy.

I watched his post-game the week before and his way to answer another one of his gaffes in that game was the same. He makes it super simple and short -- the reasoning -- so as not to get nailed down on specifics. Keep it as vague as possible and get to the next question asap. It's actually one thing he's good at, probably because he's had to do it so many times by now, literally.

He couples it with some diversion, like "we left some plays out there, it's football, it happens." "We had our chances." Then he'll quickly try and turn the page to the following week and show "resilience" or whatever by saying we'll get back to work, we have a game next week and we have to be ready for that. No way, really Todd? Thanks, we had no idea. And thanks for dancing around your game-changing mistakes, yet again.

It's a tired script, should not be an NFL Head Coach.
