**MNF Doubleheader Game 2 - Chicago at Washington**(-5.5, 50) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

Moody made 3 straight FGS (all 40+)in the rain, his line fs him and gets a kick blocked, then when he hits the easiest one of the night:

“WOW HE MADE ONE”

this shi* is hilarious
I mean, to be fair, he's more than earned the expectation he'd miss. SF was super patient with him, and he probably cost them 4-5 games since they drafted him. Coming into the game he was the least accurate K in the NFL since the beginning of last season.

Bill in on two fumbles tonight. Rough night.
Fumble credited to Daniels though. Not sure what JCM could have done.

Didn’t see the replay yet. It’s always charged to the QB, but if Daniels mishandled the ball then that’s on Daniels. Wet night.

Rough night is still the conclusion. 17-61 3.6 YPC (I look at success rates so I’ll check play-by-play) against Chicago, a team that is a disaster against the run, is either Chicago waking up and really coming to play, getting Edwards back at off-ball LB, an OL problem, schematic problem, or vision problem, because Bill looked fast and agile every time I saw him tonight.

He’s their best, and if I’m not wrong about vision, potentially a league-winner if they let him cook. But now McNichols (3-30, 4 targets) might eat into passing downs. That said, how many pro teams run extra practice to get their elusive and powerful backs a shot to be that guy?

Progress, and he might be a longer-term hold than dynasty people just looking at draft capital might think. I’ll have to watch this game more intently to see how he was.

Go Bill!

Actually he was one of the most accurate at the beginning of the season. He was 12/13 or something before his high ankle sprain on a TD-saving tackle.

He wasn’t the same after that.

I feel for the kid, and I’m rooting for him to have success. Made a gutty play and fans have hated him ever since. Some just hated him because of his draft stock, which wasn’t his fault.

Daniels had issues holding onto the ball all night and it wasn't because the Bears pass rush was getting to him. He had one in the 3rd Quarter (?) where he basically dropped the ball and it just so happened to bounce right back into his arms. Never seen that kind of luck in my life!

DJ Moore is becoming a liability, wouldn't hate moving him for a pick, and just promoting Burden.
What makes you say this? I have seen him open multiple times. The problem is Caleb doesn't seem to look his way much at all.
DJM had 3 catches for 42 yards in the 1st quarter and wasn't targeted again in the game. BUT, he was crucial blocking out there on some of those long Swift runs. I also saw that he was admitted to the hospital after the game so maybe he had some kind of internal injury or whatnot keeping him from his best??

I just don't understand why travdogg considers him a liability.

Liability was a poor choice of words. I try not to let my Bears fandom show through too much, so chalk that up to frustration in the moment.

I do think he maybe is a player out of place in this offense. I think Ben Johnson struggles to find a way to use Moore, which is why he's seeing so many backfield snaps. Like, he knows he has a good player, but at the same time, Odunze is a better downfield (and probably even intermediate weapon), Burden is better after the catch, and Loveland's role will only get bigger, as the size mismatch guy. Having Moore around is probably good for all those guys as a veteran mentor, but as far as getting the most out of Moore, he almost seems like he's, I don't know, in the way.

I hope his injury is nothing serious, though overnight hospital stays are never promising.

I cannot believe my 1st squares win ever is going to come down to jake F’n moody.

Did you win?

I wrote this hours ago and I guess I didn’t send it
I did! Moody made the bunny & I got paid out for 12 quarters, the biggest payout I’ve seen in my 3 years in the contest.

Not like, retirement money, but a little FU money for sure. Paid for my year’s FF & squares.

Fun game. Daniels gave away the game.
He thinks so, too.
After clawing their way to a 2-point lead, Washington had a shot to ice the game, but Daniels lost the ball, allowing the Bears to recover to set up the game-winning field goal. "I just lost the ball. Completely my fault," Daniels said. "Didn't give Bill a chance. It's my fault.
Daniels said the streaking rain at the time of the fumble wasn't an excuse. "I'm not [going to] sit up here and blame it on the elements," Daniels said. "At the end of the day, I got to focus. I get paid to go out there and focus, play in and play out. I had a lack of focus right there, and it cost us the game."

That late fumble lost me an important matchup. Had Daniels and JCM. Opponent had Ertz and Swift. Figured I'd be safe until Daniels lost the fumble. Then Swift's last carry put him over 100, so a bonus kicked in, putting my opponent ahead by <1 point. Way she goes...

That's rough.

I lost an important matchup in my 16 team league in perhaps a worse manner. I had 2 playing, my opponent had 0. It's IDP, & PPR. I had Palmer, and Bernard (LB). They both got hurt in the 1st half and I lost by 5 points. A tackle is worth 3, so...yeah.

It was interesting to see the reactions on the bench from each of the QBs during the game. Caleb was Caleb. He was visibly upset and, at times, appeared to be sulking on the bench. On the flip side, Daniels was laughing and carrying on. I guess if you're winning, that's fine, but it struck me a quite flippant when they were down two scores. I'm not sure either is a good look...

I watched that too. I saw Daniels looking much more serious in the second half. So I guess we saw things differently.
Both teams were behind their QB's, though, and I think that says more about each of them than do facial expressions and gestures.

Understood.

Guy is a warrior and blocks his butt off. He is all but a liability. As a Detroiter, I truly felt Johnson would use Moore much like he did ARSB.
Unfortunately that is not the case.
