I'm guessing the Colts starters want to be out there. It's a pride issue.WTH is James running out the clock? The man has over 30 carries. Put Rhodes in for the love of man!
Sweet...Flutie is in the game. I guess they're changing Brady's diapers.I'm guessing the Colts starters want to be out there. It's a pride issue.WTH is James running out the clock? The man has over 30 carries. Put Rhodes in for the love of man!

GET HIM FLUTIE!!!Agreed - hard to believe that even at 2-6, the Jets are still only two games back with a whole half season to go.If I only had confidence that Gang Green could put some (er, any) wins together :(Boy is the AFC East ugly.
I was up by one before that play. I lost by 2.I almost lost my game in my IDP league when Mathis got both a sack and forced fumble on the last play of the game.
Fortunately, I was up just barely enough to survive it. The final score is 129.18 to 128.55.
I'm calling a NO upset, right now. They're going to put up one more inspired performance before the year's over, and what better team to come out pumped up against than the reeling champs.Boy is the AFC East ugly. Six divisions have at least one team with six wins; the NFC North has a five win team; the AFC East doesn't have a team with a winning record.
New England should be able to bounce back and get to 6-4 though, with games coming up in Miami and against New Orleans.
I was up by 2 against the Mathis owner (my arch rival). 2pts for the Sack, 2 for the FF, and 1 win for that #@^%@I was up by one before that play. I lost by 2.I almost lost my game in my IDP league when Mathis got both a sack and forced fumble on the last play of the game.

"Key divisional game"?Good win. I expect a fired-up crowd when Houston visits on Sunday for a key divisional game. I'm glad this game is over with.
I added some "coach speak""Key divisional game"?Good win. I expect a fired-up crowd when Houston visits on Sunday for a key divisional game. I'm glad this game is over with.
. But, yeah - division games are important. How is this one important?Divisional games are important in that you have a chance to put a team further behind you with a win, instead of winning against a non-division opponent, then hoping they lose.I added some "coach speak""Key divisional game"?Good win. It is important in case the Jags make a comeback in the division - the 2nd TB is divisional records. The division lead is only 3 games, and if the Colts slip up and lose to Jax, then the 2nd TB could come into play. That is why beating Houston and Tenn will be important. One game at a time...one game at a time. How is this one important?Divisional games are important in that you have a chance to put a team further behind you with a win, instead of winning against a non-division opponent, then hoping they lose.I added some "coach speak""Key divisional game"?Good win. Anyone thinking the Texans have a chance in this division is delusional.
Fair enough, for some reason, I thought it was the 3rd TB.My bad.It is important in case the Jags make a comeback in the division - the 2nd TB is divisional records. I didn't see any of this. Explain, please.I expected that Bill Bellichick would be a rabid dog in talking to the media after the game. However, didn't expect that Tom Brady was going to be such a brat.
Tom Brady always says the right thing...very telegenic, very well-spoken. But why he refused to take questions after the game is a little silly. I know losing is still sort of a new thing for him and the Patriots in general, but honestly, that was Brady being a crybaby. I expected more from the league's "Golden Boy".
Between this and his silly outburst when they lost to the Chargers ("Nobody can talk about our team! waaaaaaaaah").![]()

From Boston.com''Trying to come up with the ball," said Patriots coach Bill Belichick when asked about the onside kick during his 2-minute-20-second postgame news conference.I didn't see any of this. Isn't Bulger back this week? So I guess to clarify, that particular week, for the period Bulger didn't play the Rams were one of the worst offenses in the NFL - is that what you meant to say? Because overall they're right at the top - and I read your comment as a remark on the overall state of those teams' offenses. Chalk it up to a communication break down I suppose. Regardless my comment was a nit pick, your point is still valid, although the Colts didn't exactly get lit up last night.I'll make the wild assumption you didn't watch that game. When Bulger was in the game he TORCHED the Colts and built a huge lead. Amazingly, when he left with an injury things fell apart. Jamie Martin just isn't that scary under center.linkI think you may want to make one more edit - something about the Rams and worst offenses in the league....Calling my shot now. Colts defense hasn't been really challenged.

Nice collection of the worst offenses in the NFL. Brady brings them back to earth.
Go Pats (I feel so dirty saying that).![]()
EDIT FOR ADDED NOTE: If the Colts win, I think it will be on the legs of James.
He admitted in his press conference that he made a mistake.1. Why didn't Dungy throw the damn red flag on the Pats 3rd TD? What did he have to lose? The ball obviously hit the ground...
Delay of game? Its his red flag. He's welcome to use it. It cost him a time out. Are you saying he shouldn't be allowed to call a time out before they go for 2?2. How does Billick get away with throwing his red flag on Marvin Harrison's TD grab? It was obviously a catch, and he was never even tackled!?It was an obvious delay of game by Billick to kill the Colt's momentum, as they lined up to go for a 2 point conversion. The Colts offense had the Pats D reeling back on their heels at that point.Should this be it's own thread?
I don't agree with you here Shick. He didn't (and can't) throw the red flag to call a timeout. It's only there to call for a review. And based on the sequence of events, I believe he tried to use the red flag to interupt the game without being charged a timeout. Why do I say that? The sequence of events was:Belichick throws the flag.He admitted in his press conference that he made a mistake.1. Why didn't Dungy throw the damn red flag on the Pats 3rd TD? Meant, Billichek, not Bilick. Typo. Good obs.Favre4Pack, since when does Billick coach the Patriots?

That sound you hear is the crashing of the Patriots dynasty. We will see a changing of the guard next Monday. The Pats have been the best no question but they are out of gas. This reminds me of the late 90's when Green Bay could never beat the Cowboys and then they finally broke through and went on to win the Super Bowl. The Colts will finally beat NE and they will go to the Super Bowl. And they may win going away.
