Just seems more petty penalties are being called this year. Really ruins the flow of the game. These PI calls were really weak.

On the one hand, I agree, but on the other hand, some of it is just bad defense. If you could watch every game at the same time every Sunday and had to do a shot every time a DB was flagged for PI on a play where they never turned their head and looked for the ball, you'd likely be blackout drunk by the time the late afternoon games begin every week.

I guess I'm more perturbed by the "illegal man downfield" when it doesn't impact the play and the "illegal formation" where the OL is 6 inches from where he's supposed to be. If it's blatantly obvious, fine, but most of them aren't.

Just not enjoyable watching games where there's a penalty every 4-5 plays
