MNF- Tampa @ Carolina (1 Viewer)

Besides :homer: 's? IMHO The NFL completely shafted ESPN by not giving them flexible scheduling, but giving it to NBC. I heard NBC is paying alot less than ESPN as well.

I need 11 points or so from Delhomme in one league and in another I need Smith, Foster, Carolina D, and Kasay to not get 80 points, so no, I am not interested. :bye:

Just cause Tampa sucks doesn't mean that no one cares about this game. Two teams are playing, and one of them has a shot at making the playoffs. It's not the game it looked like it would be at the start of the season, though.

Not interested in the game per se, but as a Caddy owner in a keeper league, I'm interested in seeing what is going on down there.

I am interested. I live in NC(But I am a Skins Homer). I own Caddy and Jake D in Keeper leagues so they interest me. Its a Football game so......I am interested on many levels none of which are that I think it will be a great game. I just love to watch :stalker:

One of my FF teams has Delhomme, Stevonne, Keyshawn and the Panthers DS in the lineup, so YES I care about the game.

nfl did not shaft espn, espn did it to themselves.flex schedule only works on sundays...you can move a game back a few hours, you cant move a game back a whole day, because of the fans who are travelling to the game.oh and i care 2nite, i need caddy to get 2 tds.

It's MNF.

Yes, it's on a lesser network in terms of production value for NFL games.

With crappier talent in the booth.

With ho-hum teams whose appeal this year doesn't extend past their regional fanbase.

On the other hand, it's football.

On TV.

We're talking about the sublime, violent chess match of two teams of warriors battling it out for pride on the gridiron.

Giving me yet another few hours to claim in my favorite chair, with my favorite beer and high-fat salty snacks, while the wife takes care of the kids and leaves me in peace for the night.

So yes, I care.

It was clear in the offseason that Sunday Night is the new Monday Night as far as quality matchups. ESPN still gets the scrub games like they always did. Not sure why but I guess it has to do with cable vs. network?

I'm still happy anytime I get to see the Panthers, and in this rivalry generally anyone can win. I expect a decent game.

100 yds from Smitty and i'm popping the cork. and then i'm turning the game off. this game promises to suck. hell, they'll probably even mic up Keyshawn and induce viewer vomit...

I'm not even sure that I care.
Man, Capella, I'm glad to hear you say that because then I know I'm not the only one. It's been a rough season. I can't remember the last time I was thinking about the draft this early in the season. Let alone the draft AND how we will spend all our open cap space next year.

I need Caddy not to score 80 points so I don't really care about this game either. I'll end up watching it anyways but I've been disappointed with MNF the past couple of weeks

So is this the ***Official Game Thread*** ?

I am already jealous because several people in my office are going to the game and I'm stuck watching it on TV. I live 4 miles from the stadium. I see it every day on the way to and from work, but tonight it's going to be difficult coming home and driving by the stadium all lit up.

I'll be sure to make my presence in the GAME thread, if this isn't it. Carolina needs a statement game to prove to the viewing audience that their team is not the same team that didn't show up for the 4th quarter of the Cowboys game 2 weeks ago.

I am writing the game recap :bag:

This game interests me a lot more than Seattle vs Oakland a couple of weeks back. I think the Panthers will win something like 24-10, but I am interested to see how Smith and Peppers play. One of my IDP games is on the line with my opponent playing Barber and Brooks vs my Peppers and an 11 point lead.

I am trailing by 17 with Keyshawn and Kasay to go. Opponent has Galloway. I still have a glimmer of hope, but I doubt it.

I've posted the link before, but yes NBC paid about $600M and ESPN paid about $1.1B.It may seem as if ESPN got the shorter end of the stick, but the bottom line is that they are now one of the many raking it in from the NFL $$ bonanza. I think most MNF games so far rank among their top programs of all time, and the top cable programs of all time.As far as the game goes, considering my Bucs brought half their D to Carolina...I'm expecting a blowout.

 We all get clunkers. I did Denver / Oak this week. Good times.

Pinned. Close enough for "official" for me.

Game on - go Jake go.

I'm particularly interested as my son and I square off for the very first time in FF - he has Keyshawn, I have Jake, and it's just about a tie game. Fun stuff.

It's football and my DVR will grab Heroes. Let's go.

A man after my own heart - luckily, I live on the Westy Coast and get it live right after the game....

I like Kornheiser, but he is getting brutal. Sometimes, he says such stupid things that they elicit no response from Theismann, the normal king of the dumb comment.

random thought

i was watching Ronnie Brown yesterday and thought that he needs to put on some more bulk.. he just looks lanky to me
