I didn't give you that many directives.  One was that you start your own catch-all thread and don't start any other threads of any kind for 6 months.  Another was that you avoid politics and religion specifically.  You completely disregarded both in one fell swoop.  I asked you to move the OP here to your consolidated thread and delete this one, you decided not to do that.  I'm not forsaking you, I'm just not going to waste time trying to counsel you when you completely ignore it, much as many warned me you would.

I'm not your father, I'm not your boss.  All I was doing was trying to light a path for you.  If you want to stomp on the lantern and run blind into the darkness, go for it.  I thought you wanted to try something different.

I took your advice but this thread was particularly different for many reasons.

I'll still be cool with him, I'm just not going to provide any more advice on how to manage his iLife here at FBG.  The other day, I essentially slowed the back office operations of a $100 million company to a crawl (no hyperbole) to spend time marking a path to "respectability," for lack of a better word, for him.  If he doesn't want to live up to it, that's his choice and I don't begrudge him that decision.  Ultimately, it's his life and he should be allowed to do as he pleases.  I gave it a try and that's all anyone can really do.

No you didn't.  You did the exact opposite.  I advised you not to start ANY new threads and not to discuss politics and religion.  You started a thread about Jesus.  There's basically no possible way to ignore my advice more thoroughly than you did.

That's ridiculous and you shouldn't have done that during work hours.

This thread was based on a particularly important conversation with a friend last night. This far it's not spiraled out of control or anything. I wouldn't have started another thread about anything arbitrary. I don't understand why you are getting upset over this.

I don't think you or anyone could possibly understand what I was talking about in this thread. It's bigger than what you are upset about.

 
EG, it's time to stop. This guy is totally not worth your (or your company's) time. Move on. He has so many more issues in the real world than what is happening in the FFA.

I'm not getting upset, I'm not angry, I'm not disappointed.  I'll still check in to your consolidated thread and offer my take on what's going on and give you any advice I feel I can offer on RL matters, etc.  We're totally cool.  I'm just not going to try to guide you in terms of what you do/post on this board because you don't want that help, that's all.

Jesus was a communist and loved triathlons (not the bike but he was a great swimmer), burgers with onions, and didn't have much of a retirement plan.

These were intended to be near-term initiatives, but by near term, I meant a few months, not 48 hours. Look, you're a grown man and you can do what you like. I'm not ordering you around, I'm trying to show you a path. If you don't want to walk it, or you truly don't want to get to where the path was leading, let me know and I'll simply leave you to your own devices.

Wait, does he like them raw or grilled? And is inserting them into the meat before grilling acceptable or not to JC?

seems to be cool with mixing onions and beef, just not beef and pork.  and not two types of onions.
