I came into tonight needing 53 from Aubrey and Chase to come in 2nd in pts in my NFFC league and make the championship round (and 2nd place prize money)
I started the year 0-7 and would finish 4-10 but I went from last in pts scored in my league to currently 4th this close to 2nd.
If I didn't make 1 mistake back in week 7 when I was frustrated with my team being 0-6 I would already be in. You think your done Puka was injured Nabers was injured.
Your 0-6 and in last place and I benched Javonte on Thursday night right before kickoff he scores 26 and Mostert scored 4 and there ya go I am within 22 pts it be over I would be in 2nd and in the playoffs.
So no matter how bad you start never give up this is that story that will end in pain if Chase don't score like 47
Wow what a finish to that game last night. That was the most memorable basically final play that mattered in the final week of a regular season for me. Of course I had bigger moments winning 3 National championships but last night's 40 yard TD to Chase in the final minute won me about $10,000 and vaulted me up to #2 overall in the cutline (I would be #1 had I just played Addison grrr).
In my prime I was down 50 going into the game with Burrow/Chase/Higgins vs Chase Brown was down less than 1 point when Chase caught the TD.
That gave me the "sweep" best record/most pts in my league so it gives me the auto championship and $7,000.
I had another prime where I was in 3rd in total pts and while top 3 teams get prizes and make the overall $250K playoff round I wasn't going to be one of them because the guy 4th in pts was 12-2 and would get the record spot while the 2 teams above me in pts would get the others......until Chase's 40 yard TD the guy I needed to win to get to 12-2 and beat him out was down 73 with Burrow/Chase and that play got him to 79 pts so I win $1,100 and take 3rd place and get into the big dance.
In a RTS playoff game I was down 42 with Dowdle, Chase and Ferguson vs Lamb that last play gave me the 3 point win.
I have Chase in 3 cutline leagues I started the night in 20, 42, 84 place I needed to make top 52 to make the cut. My best team scored 229 with Burrow. Brown, Chase, Aubrey putting up 114 of it to move me to 2nd, 11th and 22nd.
Then probably the most improbable one of all I started a NFFC league 0-7 and in this NFFC league the online championship only 2 teams make playoffs the top record and most pts remaining.
At 0-7 and 10th in scoring you should just quit right ? Nope. This is a story of why you never give up you never give him.
I got Puka back from injury and was piling up the pts the last few weeks.
Went into week 14 in 6th place in pts down 70 from 2nd. I came into Monday night still down 53 pts with Chase and Aubrey left. That last Chase TD got me to 55 pts for the night.
I take 2nd place by 2 pts for the year in scoring and despite being 4-10 make it to the big dance.
what a freaking ending.
