Dallas is gonna put up another 7 before halftime. I’ll probably flip over to the Hallmark Channel and catch a Christmas movie about a recently divorced young junior executive looking for true love that has to return to her hometown to help her wise aunt figure out her finances, so her house doesn’t get repossessed.
While there, she meets a handsome lumberjack, whom she treats dismissively because of his simple, down-to-earth vocation. Only it turns out he’s independently wealthy after selling his generic tech business and chose to be a lumberjack. After several unlikely encounters where she is very condescensing, she ultimately starts to fall for him, but knows it’s not meant to be, because of the differences in their lifestyle.
He last minute saves the day on auntie’s house, putting the heartless banker in his place, and metling the heart of our heroine. She decides that what’s really important is not her career, or money, but true love.
Only then does she discover he is, in fact a multi-millionaire. They decorate the tree, drink hot chocolate with the aunt and neighbors, and share a very chaste kiss.
