**Monday Night Football - Eagles 6-2 at Packers 5-2-1**(-1, 46) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

The Packers really need to hurry it up here, taking 30 seconds per 5 yards isn't going to cut it down multiple scores in the fourth

And I guess the best way for the Eagles to hang with them his hand off to Barkley & not pass.. Slows the game down

What’s Patullo gonna call on this drive? Three runs in a row to eat some clock?

If I'm running the Eagles, he's one and done as the OC. Too much talent to be this average on offense.
If I’m running the Eagles this is now the second OC in 3 yrs where there’s been issues. I know Nick just won the SB but extending him imho was a mistake at the time. This seems like an an ongoing issue.

I’m curious if and when KP is let go if similar stuff starts coming out as before on issues. There’s been talk Nick gets too hand on when he doesn’t trust the OC, micromanages , players seem confused on play calls, etc.

I can't wait for next week when the Lions pound the Eagles. Until they get AJ Brown involved the Eagles are just an average team.. Sorry!
The NFC is loaded and these two teams were 2nd and 3rd coming into tonight
Eagles won a Super Bowl last year, appeared in 2 of the last 3 Super Bowls and currently are closing in on a 7-2 record to kick off the 2025 season
But yeah the Eagles are just average while they are pitching a shutout tonight
Eagles haven’t had a convincing win all year. It’s been very avg. have yet to put a complete game together.

most negative fan of a winning team /player/coach I have ever seen, for any team anywhere

why did Gipson pick that up?
No reason not to. Once the ball is touched by the punting team, the ball can only be advanced. If he fumbled and GB recovered and ran for a TD, it would be irrelevant, the ball would go to Philly where GB touched it.

So he makes a deliberate football move backwards into the end zone like he did and it's copasetic?

I want to look that up.
he's right....I forgot that nuance you so rarely see it happen

Nope.

SECTION 5 - SAFETY

ARTICLE 1. SAFETY

It is a Safety:

  1. when the offense commits a foul behind its own goal line and the defense elects to enforce the penalty at that spot (see also 14-2-2-b); or
  2. when an impetus by a team sends the ball behind its own goal line, and the ball is dead in the end zone in its possession or the ball is out of bounds behind the goal line.
dude....wrong rule. when kicking team touches the ball first it's technically a foul. the receiving team can do anything with it from there and if they dont like the result can elect to accept the penalty....which is a dead ball where the kicking team touched it. the only caveat to the rule is it can be over-ridden by a personal foul. Gipson could pick it up dance back into the end zone and get tackled, or fumble it and turn it over at the 5...wouldnt matter, Eagles would have kept the ball where the kicking team touched it. It is absolutely the rule...you just almost never see it, like the elusive drop kick

I'm wrong but it's not a foul, it's a violation. Fouls carry a penalty of some sort, a violation carries none. Your description is otherwise correct. It's the "first-touching" rule. I. stand. corrected.

last years team would take this ball and run it down their throat 10 times to kill the clock. NOt sure this team is capable of that
