So with this new rule, why not just call that a TD and then review it?!
Yeah, it's pretty asinine that near TDs aren't reviewed and a team has to burn a challenge if it's close. Not sure how the refs get graded but as long as they get it right after reviews, I'd think that's more important than the initial call. On turnovers they're supposed to err on the side of caution instead if a quick whistle. The same theory should be applied here. Some really, really dumb rules in the Goodell era (just wait til another 4 weeks of pink accessories next month!). . The 'going to ground' rule is the dumbest rule in pro sports. Like the CJ catch, two feet, a hand, an elbow, and an ### all hit the ground but it's not a catch... The sooner Goodell's gone, the better.
