**Monday Night Football - Lions at Ravens**(-5, 54) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

Kind of surprised the Lions are this big of an underdog
28-7 since the start of '23 in the regular season rolling into tonight's football game
4 and a half point dogs you say?

Lions 27...Ravens 24
Big game tonight, might not hit the over and still be exciting
There are a lot of excellent skill players in prime time tonight, fans get a treat after a lot of ho hum games this past Sunday
I didn't find the game on Sunday all that interesting.
Vikings, Panthers and Colts all in blowout style. Jags, Steelers and Niners won in boring fashion, the Bucs game got interesting late but they were ahead 26-6 heading into the 4th....
DEN/LAC had a strong finish but it was mostly a defensive struggle throughout the game, 22-9 Chiefs-Giants game I fell asleep during last night

Hoping for a better experience tonight

I think the Ravens are the best team in the NFL...except for their 2-minute defense. That cost them a couple times last year, and against Buffalo in week 1. I think the Lions are somewhere between week 1 and week 2.

I think the Lions are gonna really struggle to run the ball against the Ravens. I think they need to come out much like last week, and get Amon-Ra going early and often, he's their best player, and also has the best matchup, typically drawing Marlon Humphrey in the slot, who is good, but not as good as his reputation. I think the Ravens will look to keep a Safety deep to take away Williams. I do wonder how much pressure the Ravens will get as the Lions interior OL has been rough to start the year, but the Ravens are also down their top-2 pass rushers.

Somewhat similarly, I think the Lions can slow down Henry. But I don't think they can cover the Ravens weapons, without leaving massive room for Lamar to take off. I think Lamar has a huge game and likely takes Zay Flowers with him as he's seeing true #1 usage. I could also see Hopkins hitting another deep ball TD against CBs who he'll have a major size advantage on, as other than Arnold, he has 4 inches and 30 pounds on anyone else who will be covering him.

I think the Ravens show everyone how scary they are and easily cover. Like a 35-21 type game.

I think JAMO is going to have another BOOM game tonight, like you say the running game is not likely to be huge vs the Ravens, Monty is going to be a downer unless he has a TD plunge
If La Porta is healthy and a full go tonight, I think he's also due. Goff not usually great on the road but I expect him to fire it up tonight, both teams will need to throw the ball.

I like the Lions in a very close game, Ravens are the best team in football but they also have allowed something like 8 losses since '21-'22 where they were effectively 90% to win the game and they let the other team come back and beat them. Detroit has the kind of weapons that would work in that scenario if the game comes down to that.

Average NFL fan has to be excited tonight, so many skill players that will impact line ups across Redraft and Dynasty, ratings should be high

What about LA-Philly? That game was pretty entertaining. :penalty:

Lions lost to Packers by 14
Packers lost to Browns by 3
Browns lost to Ravens by 24
Add em up, Lions gonna lose to Ravens by 41, it's just math

Serious prediction: Lamar is 22-2 vs the NFC in his career. He is playing QB at a phenomenal level, his 4 straight scoring drives in the second half last week vs Cleveland looks even better now that everyone understands how good that Defense is

I think the Ravens get up something like 38-20 by late in the 3rd Quarter then sweat out a Lions rally and win 41-33 with Detroit driving to potentially tie the game with a TD + 2-point conversion

Need a legendary game from L. Jackson in two leagues. Hoping for a 41-38 game. And for T. Loop to hit like 3 fifty yarders.

BALT covers.

Get your Troy Aikman beers lined up, every time tonight he says "I just love what the Detroit Lions are doing on Offense" or "I really like what the Ravens have put together"
Or any 1 off from this, you know it's just wind dip and air pudding, he does this several times typically each broadcast he's in the booth
I like to call them AIkman-isms and they come in different forms, but for this one it's going ot be down the hatch with those beers at home
:banned:

-He likes to encourage punting the football when teams are about to cross midfield especially if they started deep in their own territory
Troy Aikman loves him a good Field Goal attempt, especially on 3rd and long around the 35-40 yard line, it's total taboo to even suggest making the first down on a long throw
No reason to risk a turnover there. I'm not saying he's wrong, it's just you can see it coming a mile away.

-He's very slow to say one team is whooping up on the other team, just not in his make up
Another one is when he praises a team for doing something good or what he perceives is them being consistent and then they suddenly give the ball away be it an interception/fumble

-He will undoubtedly say he talked to the coaching staff prior to the game this week and they told him whatever it is he's emphasizing on the replay, he spoke to both QBs too

Look for the sign or if you hear it first

Not that anyone cares, but for those who want a sweat, in one league I need Derrick Henry & Tyler Loop to get at least 13 points, half PPR. In another, I need Jameson Williams to outscore Zay Flowers by 5 in full PPR.

Good point, that was a good game. but it also was 26-7 in the early 3rd Rams ahead
Yes the Eagles immediately started to mount a comeback
The ending felt odd, not a way I see most games end
Then I flipped back over to watch my Bucs try to extend to 9 and find themselves suddenly down 1. Thankfully the Bucs managed to work it down for a FG to win

I think you’re good to go in the first league. The other? That’s a tough one.

Terrible play on 3rd and 3, never had a chance, guess the Ravens had great coverage

4th down...Troy was obvious that he likely would have kicked a FG but then the Lions convert
