Monday Night Football - What do you need?? (1 Viewer)

I guess I have another "need" in my other league.... because amusingly, according to CBS, my opponent has a 5% chance to win.

IDP League, I set the 10 year high-water mark with 311. My opponent has 162.34 with Christine Michael left.

While I expect Michael to have an ok day, I'd say chances are poor that he scores 150 points. Going out on a limb here, I realize.

So yeah - I need that to not happen.

After weeks of sweating out games on Monday night, I can finally relax and enjoy this one while idly hoping that Preston Brown, KJ Wright, and Ronald Darby don't combine for more than 108 fantasy points...

I'll start sweating again around the 15th int...
...or 50th commercial break ;)

Actually by then I'll probably have fallen asleep.  Hopefully tonight's game thread here will be entertaining.
reddit forum for monday night games are always entertaining  :potkettle:

if you can keep up with the 5000+ posts (no exaggeration)

I was down 28 points with Graham on my side to McCoy. Now I am down by  4 points. Even if I lose great showing by Graham.

From now on, my one and only request in the "What do you need Monday Night" thread is going to be "a halfway decent game with quality officiating, decided by the players on the field."

Wouldn't think that was too much to ask, but these days, seems like wishing for the moon.

I just need for Jimmy Graham and Christine Michael to score somewhat similarly. Classic 2 league scenario:

League 1: Standard Scoring. Up 16.8, I have Michael he has Graham.

League 2: PPR. Up 12.9, I have Graham and he has Michael.

So basically they can both go off or both do squat. Just as long as they do it together.
Sometimes this game we play feels like  :pokey:

For Crabtree to score within 7.5 points of L Murray (up by 7.5, I have crab, he has Murray).

Easily the most meaningful MNF of the year so far, win and I should be in the playoffs, lose and probably not.

Gonna need another great game from Murray, chalking it up as a loss for now.

Need 23.3 from him in standard, we do get a 3 point bonus at 100 yards so:

100 yards rushing and 2 TDs or 143 yards (at least 100 on the ground) and 1 TD

Went against the experts and put in Tyrod over Eli for Matt Ryan's bye week. Relatively certain that will cost me the week and maybe the playoffs. I never wanna be a slave to the rankings, but at the same time I kick myself much harder when I ignore them and it costs me.

You do realize there's a new MN Football thread for this week, right? ;)

I have an unusually large number of games relying on a MNF outcome.  Some are more probable than others:

Zach Ertz to score > 41.1 points.  Yeah, right.

Randall Cobb to outscore Davante Adams by > 0.8 points.  Possible.

Aaron Rodgers to score < 47.1 points.  Doable.

Jordan Matthews to score > 2.3 points.  Also doable.

I'm down 18 pts. They have Sproles.....I have Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson.

I have feeling this is going down to the wire. Need Sproles to not break out and if Jordy can get a TD and 8-9 passes, and Rodgers is himself.....I like my chances. I need this win!

League #1, eliminated from playoffs but trying to spoil it for another team.  Need Smallwood to outscore Devonte Adams by 9 points. Unlikely but possible.

League #2, put up the highest score in 12+ year league history, up 110 points with no one left, opponent has Mason Crosby. CBS gives him a 1% chance to win, so I guess I need for Mason Crosby to not kick 22x 50 yard FGs. I'd better knock on wood I guess.  Oh, and more realistically to cinch a playoff spot (division/WC), with 3 other teams competing with me I need them all to lose - so I need 37.1 points from Jordy/ Matthews/Ertz, in one game; I need Wendell Smallwoord/Sturgis/Sproles/22 points to outscore Cobb; and I need Morgan Burnett +52 to outscore Starks/D.Adams/R.McCleod.

All very likely outcomes.

I need Jordy to score 12 more than Adams. It's possible, but I'm not confident.

Need 37 from Smallwood, Sturgis and Eagles DST. Doable but way harder than if I had played Michael Thomas over Booker.

In one league both teams are done, but hoping for 5 points of scoring adjustment - not likely but it could happen.  The most I have ever seen in a week is a 3 point swing so I am not liking my chances.

In the other league I am +71.5 with Smallwood left and my opponent has Sproles left.  The all time single game scoring record for a RB in our league is 44 points, so I feel pretty confident.  Yet, CBSSportline shows them with a 2% chance.  At least they have some optimism.
