MONEYBALL (1 Viewer)

I love this book, but I cringe during the scene where Fuson drafts Bonderman and Beane goes ape####. Fuson soon thereafter left the organization, and Bonderman was dealt away in the deal for Ted Lilly. Ug.

Incidentally, it was Fuson, now an asst. in SD, who was the one who sold Cust to the A's. :banned:

The book is a wonderful read, although if you are comfortable with stats and know about Bill James, that chapter is a bit boring.

The best quote from the book...

"It is the nature of being the general manager of a baseball team that you have to remain on familiar terms with people you are continually trying to screw."

I'm not sure there is a truer parallel with fantasy baseball than that.
