Morneau (1 Viewer)

I have an opportunity to trade for Morneau by buying low. However I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts or info regarding his lack of production this season. Should this just be considered a slump that he should come out of or is he still battling the effects of last season's concussion? What are your thoughts or information regarding this matter?

How low? He is steaming pile of crap in my daily lineup. My take is stay far, far, away.

The problem I saw with Morneau this season was that he usually starts great then falls off considerably after the ASB. Happens to him just about every season, just look at his splits. With him coming into the season after a long break I didn't expect him to start as hot as he usually does. Does reverse his trend and pick it up in the 2nd half instead of falling off a cliff? I don't know, but I wouldn't bet on it.

The price would have to be very low for me to have any interest in him at this point.

I doubt you can buy low enough - as I have posted several times, Morneau is STILL suffering from the effects of the concussion last season (which btw was just the latest of many he has had; hockey player as a kid)IF you get him for nothing and can reserve him, maybe worth a shot but whatever you are "spending" on him could likely be a total zero if they finally decide to DL him and get him some more rest and testing

i know he looks like dog doo now- but I had Kendry Morales and I am trying to figure out how to make up such a loss of production

not dog poop - SICK.....anyway if you didn't get Hosmer then you will have to wait for the next 1B or CI with pop to get brought up ......be ALERT

this is an AL only league- Hosmer was drafted- most top minor league prospects are drafted. Hence my interest in trading. I could trade for an outfielder and put cuddyer at first, although cuddyer was part of the trade for morneau.
