I have an even tougher decision to make. In a 6 player keeper league where you are only allowed to keep 3 players from the 1st 6 rounds of the draft and where you are only allowed to keep 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF at max, I have the following players to decide on for next year:
1st round pick: Shaun Alex
2nd round pick: Marvin Harrison
3rd round pick: Carson Palmer
4th round pick: Jamal Lewis
5th round pick: Laurence Maroney
6th round pick: Muhsin Muhammad
7th round pick: Frank Gore
So, the options I have are:
Option 1: Keep Palmer, Harrison, Shaun Alex (those 3 are the 3 from 1st 6 rounds) and keep Frank Gore too. Hence I have Shaun Alex, Palmer, Harrison and Gore for next year. But that means I dump Maroney
Option 2: If I decide to keep Maroney, then I can keep Shaun Alex, Maroney and only one out of Harrison and Palmer. Hence, say I kept Harrison, Maroney and Alexander, I have to dump both Gore and Palmer (or harrison and gore if I keep Palmer).
I prefer option 1 but the thought of dumping Maroney and see him get snagged and be a stud for the next 10 years on someone else's team while Gore gets injured scares me like crazy.
What would you do?
