-Losing teams will develop their youth at WR

-Stl Rams could be the biggest obstacle in Moss' road back to NE. They may want Moss' experience to help Bradford develop. However, the argument I am making here is that Stl Rams may not also want any drama to effect their young QB. For a rookie QB the chemistry, mental and physical development are equally important. The Rams will have to ask themselves if they see a potential developing relationship between Bradford and Moss. I don't see it. I think Moss wants to win and an implosion can happen when he gets frustrated with Bradford.

-NYJ and Miami Dolphins - Would they want to sign Moss just to block NE? That's a hefty price tag. They would essentially be putting up a 3.5 million dollar brick wall (Moss' remaining contract in 2010). Miami already has a WR1 in Marshall. NYJ has Edwards and Holmes. And we all know Moss will not resign as he is demanding a multi year contract.

-NE - When the dust settles guess who will be right there to welcome back Moss? Bill Belichick. Deon Branch has proven already that he is done. Only in his 3rd game back with the Patriots, Branch (shocking) is injured. The Patriots will not only have gotten a 3rd round pick from the Vikings in the trade, they will now get Moss back for their Superbowl run. Belichick genius.

With the waiver wire rules, every other NFL team would have to pass on him for that to happen. I just don't see it playing out that way.

 
He'll end up playing for the Sacramento Mountain Lions this season... reuninting with Culpepper and Denny Green.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello tells Profootballtalk.com that Randy Moss' status for 2011 "would be determined by the terms of the new CBA" if he refuses to report to a team that claims him. Moss would likely receive a "five-day letter" from his new team in that scenario, with the threat of being placed on the Reserve/Left Squad list. Depending on the terms of the new CBA, Moss could end up property of the claiming team again in 2011 as opposed to reaching free agency. Source: Profootballtalk on NBCSports.com
 
Mike Tice was the HC in Minny with the "Randy Ratio". Tice is now the o-line coach in Chicago. Just sayin'

 
There is no way that 30 coaches & GM's in the NFL are going to let Moss slide all the way back down to Belichick. If some of them in the AFC & AFC East have to claim him and stick him in a broom closet until the end of the year they will do it.

can I ask why the pats would trade him if he was someone they wanted on the team?

the only reason I can see the pats picking him up would be if they have solid info chilly's gettin' canned and they plan to trade him back to minny.

 
45 min remain and I still believe Moss will end up back at NE. Even more so after Moss announced that he will sit out the remainder of 2010 if the team that claims him is not bound for Superbowl. This pretty much wipes out all losing and even record teams. Miami Dolphins I hear are the favorite but if what Moss says is true then they may shy away. I did read that Moss visited the NYJ. NYJ has claimed that they are not putting in a waiver claim. I'm a little suspect about this. Only because Moss went and visited the Jets. If what the Jets say is true then NE will be waiting.

According to Don Banks (SI)...Tennessee has put in a claim for him at #22, so he won't fall any lower than that.http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/foot...ef=twitter_feed

 
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but Moss on his own personal website has only 3 teams listed as possible landing spots:

St Louis

Miami

Seattle

 
Ranked No. 22 in the NFL waiver priority order, the Titans have reportedly submitted a waiver claim for Randy Moss Rotoworld

 
There goes that theory. Makes sense now that Britt has a serious groin injury. And Tenn would be a Superbowl contender. The running lanes for CJ will be even bigger now.

They felt he wasn't worth what they could get. They can now essentially get him for free. They would have been fine without him but he'd be welcomed back I'm sure.

If his intention is to not report to a team that doesn't suit his needs, that team wouldn't be on the hook for his salary, which opens up the pool of teams who would be willing to claim him to prevent him from going back to NE.
