Mother's day Gift (1 Viewer)

Lets start this a bit early as I need some ideas.

I was thinking a gold charm with Mom on it, but it seems a bit cheesy.

Kenmore is having a sales on its Canister Vacuum cleaners at Sears this week, but that might not be appreciated.

Other than that I am all out of ideas.

I gave the spa day for Christmas.

I got her 2 things that go on a necklace. Each thing has 12 stones on it and each stone is a birthstone from our kids birth months. I got it at Kay's.

bought the wife a springfield xd 9mm sub-compact about 3 weeks ago (shot it 2 weeks ago). figure we'll go to the range on sunday and let her shoot it again after i move the laser from the xdm full-size 9mm she was using. we'll also shoot my mini-14 with a 2x red-dot to see how well she likes it. i imagine she'll be getting a new toy... one for her mini-14. she also got 500 rounds of 9mm 147 gr jhp today.

plus the house is getting a new front door and front windows june 1. the door i priced was 2400. her door was 4400 (she did very well - as i knew she would).

if i bought her jewelry, she'd smile but be thinking wtf - like i need more stuff to put in a box... definitely a keeper (22 years so far...)...

and no, we're not republicans...

ugh.... I have no idea. And it's the FIRST mother's day for my wife, as our daughter is now only 9 weeks old.

I'll likely go with jewelry and spa day.

Made it easy on myself a couple of years ago when I bought her a Pandora bracelet. Now I can always buy her a few charms/ beads when I don't have any better ideas. For Mothers Day she's getting some pink Murano glass beads from our daughter and some blue ones from our son.

Mom in Boston - Gift basket from Harry and David's

Wife - Breakfast and a day off from the kids. Simple yet very effective.

Getting my wife one of these with our kids' birthstones in them and a subscription to People magazine which she really likes. Also already bought her a Canon T2i with an extra lens she wanted and a Kindle Fire she kinda didn't care about but now likes. Will also do flowers and a nice dinner/dessert.

For your wife, I would either send her out for a day for brunch with her mom or some of her mom friends (this could be a cool group gift if you have some families you are close to). Or I would take the baby out for the morning, let her sleep in and bring her back some breakfast.

Going to shovel a couple tons of stone for my mother this Sunday

My wife will be getting some clay pots(flowers added later) hand painted by our 17 month old twins.

she's getting a Kindle and already got a replacement Iphone this week for the one she dropped.

she'll also be getting a big, fat, ####### sausage-ah!!!! :excited:

ETA: both for the wife of course, sick bastards

I might let the 6:30 pm sharp dinner time slide a few minutes on Sunday. She deserves it, she bore 5 children. I'll still be pissed if dinner is not on the table by 6:35.

Rough week for me gift wise, Mother's day on the 13th, my wife's birthday on the 19th... and oh yeah, baby due on the 18th (That means I do not have to give her a b-day present, right)?

For mother's day I just let my daughter pick out a card for her... I may pick up some flowers for her or something

:goodposting:Or, give her a night by herself at a local hotel. My best friend's husband did that for her a few times a year during the early years of kids and the quiet and full night's sleep did wonders for her.

No, but you need to get her a "push" gift.

I have been getting my wife a gift cert. for the spa/hair salon. I am doing that again this year and picked her up some hair care products.

Our 2 year old daughter will be getting her flowers that we will all plant together.

Mom always gets a couple of hanging baskets. The family meets at mom's house and the guys grill and clean up for the ladies. I think the moms like that gift best.

Seriously? I never understood a "push" gift. Get her one large gift that covers Mother's Day and her birthday.

that wouldn't fly at the floppo household. the wifey's bday is the day before vday... each day gets its own present- same with births etc.

like, for instance, a baby?

Mom gets $50 gift card to Legal Seafood

Wife gets a laptop purchased with gift cards from credit card rewards. Kids are always on the current laptop, this one will be mom only for school etc.(taking classes for Masters)

My wife is getting a bathroom renno for Mom Day...well at least spending Mom Day money on it

buuut....still gotta get the kids to do something.

so I went to my local craft store and they were selling nice metal serving trays along with some matching backyard meal stuff—plates, tumblers, pitcher, etc.

so I got the lot and I'm gonna have the kids do paint hand prints on the tray with the saying "Mommy's Helping Hands" with paint pens. Wrap it all up and its the kids gift! (doing one for each grandma too)

Had a professional photographer shoot our kids last weekend. Hadn't been done in awhile and they are now 23,23,15.

Got the pics yesterday. So awesome.

Going to McCall,ID Fri night (from Boise). Driving back Sunday afternoon. Future SIL in 9 weeks is cooking huge Italian dinner (dad is 100% Italian and runs awesome restaurant). She's going to walk into 25 framed pics Sunday night.

Awesome Italian restaurant in Idaho? Do tell. Enjoy McCall. I love it up there.

I bought my wife a ticket to go see Van Halen next Saturday night. 5th row center. I will be out of town so she's flying solo but she has been hinting around for a couple of months that she'd really like to see VH with DLR. I also lined up the babysitter for her so will be surprising her with the ticket today.

eat - the kids made her a card and we're going to a nice brunch as well.

Origami Owl has some good gifts. Its custom jewelry. clear lockets that you can add charms too in order to make it specifically for the recipient.

Gift card for massage and iphone case with pic of the kids.
wife got that for me for Father's day last year. I never remember that they're on there (lots of pics) until somebody always comments about them... and then I cringe, because now I'm THAT guy.
