I bought my wife a ticket to go see Van Halen next Saturday night. 5th row center. I will be out of town so she's flying solo but she has been hinting around for a couple of months that she'd really like to see VH with DLR. I also lined up the babysitter for her so will be surprising her with the ticket today.eat - the kids made her a card and we're going to a nice brunch as well.

bought the wife a springfield xd 9mm sub-compact about 3 weeks ago (shot it 2 weeks ago). figure we'll go to the range on sunday and let her shoot it again after i move the laser from the xdm full-size 9mm she was using. we'll also shoot my mini-14 with a 2x red-dot to see how well she likes it. i imagine she'll be getting a new toy... one for her mini-14. she also got 500 rounds of 9mm 147 gr jhp today. plus the house is getting a new front door and front windows june 1. the door i priced was 2400. her door was 4400 (she did very well - as i knew she would). if i bought her jewelry, she'd smile but be thinking wtf - like i need more stuff to put in a box... definitely a keeper (22 years so far...)... and no, we're not republicans...

Think I'm going to give brunch for my wife and mother in law. The question is whether the kids and I should go as well. $50pp and $25 per kid. My kids will eat maybe 3 or 4 bites each so that's a total waste. Plus I'm not sure I want to drop $200 for all of us. Trying to convince my wife it'd be better for her an her mom to just have a quiet brunch together and I'll stay home with the kids.

Online flower shops are a racket. I went to order a $20 special they had for mothers day...got to the end of checkout to find he total cost after shipping and other fees was $42.

Called a local shop and got the same flowers delivered for $27 total cost.
