I dunno, but man them damn Cambell soup and Madden jinx is real damn funny how bad things  happen to those guys. Plus he lost Huch and got his contract finally........So what category he fall under for yall....

And i know i make some kuku polls just was wondering since i see him going later in most drafts now.

Of the first tier RB's Alexander has by far the softest schedule ... this year will define or dispell the Madden jinx without a doubt ... next years cover will be an "action figure" since there will be no NFL takers

For those concerned with curses, there is also the Curse of the Super Bowl Loser. Quite a few recent Super Bowl losing teams had very strong offenses, and there appeared to be no reason they wouldn't be strong again the following year. Things didn't go as planned.

Curses laid upon SA:

1) Madden cover.

2) Super Bowl loser.

3) Just signed giant contract.

4) Turning 30.

5) Coming off a career year.

He is either doomed, or the large number of curses simply cancel each other out. I'm no witchdoctor, so I don't know which way it will go :)

Totally agree with this. If he stays healthy his schedule is cake.

There is really not a curse. The problem is that Madden selects players for his cover after an amazing career season from which they can only decline.

This is almost getting to the epic myth of the USC Trojans playing in their 3rd championship game this last January. They only played in 2. 3 years ago they were not national champs. Alexander was born 8/30/1977. That makes him 28. He will be 29 right before the season starts.

Also, the 30 barrier has softened a bit. A lot of guys have gone past 30 and had very productive years. CMart lead the league in rushing at 31. The age wall isn't 35 or anything at RB, but it's stretching beyond 30 with the advances in modern medicine, training and rehabilitation.

That being said, I just traded for Alexander but I answered that I would rather have Portis....

ETA that I also got MoMo so if he were to miss a game or two I still think I got a highly productive running game behind a very potent line despite the loss of the guard to the Vikes.

:goodposting: Well said. I knew all those facts to be true, but I never bunched them up together like this. Sounds crazy to say, but I'm glad I don't have Alexander in any of my leagues.

Whoa. I never saw all those at once before in him.I think 3, 4, and 5 actually have validity to them. 1 and 2 are coincidental....but 3, 4, and 5 could actually have an effect on him. Giant contract, he can relax...turning 30 is a doomed age for a lot of RBs, and you can't repeat a career year...if you're expecting him to, you're in trouble.

There's good info here.

Except he's not turning 30. And if he comes down from his career year to regress to his awful 2004 form, he'll be...the #1 RB by FBG scoring.
