Mumford & Sons (1 Viewer)

Went to their concert last night at the Barclays center which was great. Played pretty much every song on both albums. Also, these guys play almost every instrument imaginable. At first I was not a huge fan of Babel but it has grown on me and think it is a great album and better than their first.
I was there too, was an awesome show. Did you get a seat or center floor and have to stand? I was debating getting the floor but went with a seat at the end. This was like the first time i went to a concert and the band sounder better live than they do on their CD. Marcus Mumford did not miss one note. The Barclays is a great place to go to a concert, the speakers are great, lights are cool, nice vibe in their for a bigger arena show.Mumford has to start picking better opening acts, the ones i heard on Wednesday were terrible. One thing I will never understand are the people who leave before the final song which is their biggest hit "The Cave". I literally saw tons of people in my section leave right before it came on.
We were in seats about 20 rows up directly behind the floor. Basically, straight across from the stage. It was awesome when they did the a cappella as we all of sudden had about the best seats in the house.

Purchased 4 tickets and 4 camping passes for the stop in Troy, OH. I have no idea if I'll go, but at least I have tickets. I'm sure if I don't make it, some hipster will buy them.
 I was actually forced to renounce their music in order to retain my hipster status.

Hipsters can only like something before everybody else does, or for ten days, whichever comes first. I think it's in their contract.

If you like M & S, Avett Brothers, The Civil Wars, et al...you should check out The Lone Bellow. Debut album dropped two months ago. You might have seen them on Conan. I saw them last weekend open for Brandi Carlile.

They have added some shows in May and June if anyone is interested. They suck blah blah click on a different thread.
I don't think they suck, I just think they're unremarkable in every way. But I will pay them this compliment...I'll bet their shows are loaded with hot chicks.
I saw them in Toronto a couple years ago, it was more drunk guys than hot chicks. However, the show was amazing. The venue was rocking from everyone stomping and clapping. It's a good time for sure.

Apparently I should like this band, because they keep popping up on my Pandora station that I seeded with the Black Keys and Alabama Shakes. I gave them a chance but ended up giving about 10 songs a thumbs down, yet they still come on occasionally. Not sure what it is, just not feeling them.

It's trendy for the Reddit crowd to hate the grammy award winning group now because they might be Christians.

I hate concerts, always have, but I think I would enjoy seeing these guys live.

Music is an art form and as such there will always be great debate over how "good" something is. Who cares? If you like it, great. If you don't, then don't listen - its that simple. I've tried as hard as I can to like and listen to Radiohead. I can't do it - does that make them bad? No way, too many people love what they do for them to be bad - I just don't care for it but that's ok, I'll listen to something else.

I love seeing live music, but hate concerts. Doing film/TV lighting I get the best of both worlds. Get paid to watch from an uncrowded section, oftentimes from the spotlight operating position. Sure, I gotta concentrate a little on what I'm doing, but better than being in the mix with teenage girls tugging on your sleeve to lift hem on top of the crowd.

Can you tell me what concerts you go to?-HJS
Any all ages show will do. Used to happen all the time at punk shows in San Diego. But I guess the last one was a Flogging Molly show at House of Blues and it was over 21 so it was small 21 year olds asking, they just look younger as I get older. Sure, it'd be nice to cop a feel while lifting her up, but if that's my goal the I'll just let someone else do the lifting and reach up when she's being passed around like everyone else. Last time I said no, I got punched in the kidney. I grabbed the girl and we made an arrangement that she wouldn't do that again.

I am stoked for the stopover ... Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Phosphorescent are on Friday and Mumford and Old Crow Medicine Show is on Saturday.

We are camping, we have goodies and plan to have a great time. We are getting there early tomorrow morning ... it's going to be an exciting weekend!
