How old? What types of behaviors?

You can start with reading a book with him/her together about the cause, etc., so you have a better understanding.

My picky eater likes to eat cod. Salmon is also one of his favorites. You have to trick him into thinking eating a new food is his decision not yours.

You need to have a set schedule in the house for everything and never deviate from it if time type stuff is an issue.

If cleanliness type stuff is an,issue then you need a house organization plan that doesn't overwhelm your kid. That usually means a lot less clutter everywhere. Labels on almost everything. Stuff like pots and pans always have to be in the same place.

If it's a focus on something until it's done type thing then you need a clear list of what, has to get done step by step and focus on that one thing and very very slowly introduce an extra step here and there that eventually allows them to focus on two things.

There is a lot you can do. Almost all of it revolves around clear and easy instructions, organization, planning and routine. Surprises, clutter and disorganization will kill you.

Yiu are also going to want to review your child's diet. Foods that are high empty sugar low vitamin will make it worse. You might want to consider talking to a pediatric nutritionist about a diet plan. Also kids with high functioning OCD, ADHD, aspergers and those types of issues can, actually benefit from small intakes of caffiene. It helps to actually slow them down and clear their mind and give them a calmer sense of focus.

I hope this isn't some **** faced schtick post.

I've got a son with what they term neurological disorders. It's kind of a melting pot of OCD, ADD, ADHD, Sensory Issues...

The #### ain't no joke. It's tough as a parent watching him struggle with things, and just as tough on our marriage and the time we can dedicate to our other child.
