My Stock Value Strategy Starts Now (2 Viewers)

I didn't unload my DSX play from yesterday, and am letting it ride till tomorrow. Let's hope it gets carried up with the entire sector.
There earnings are coming out soon too as well. I like this stock, but dumped it when the whole sector was going south yesterday.
The sector rebounded quite a bit today though. From the bits I've seen, it's likely that the earnings reports will be pretty OK to good, right? Some people are down on PRGN and FREE, but other than them, the rest look OK.

Rolling the dice here on this company:Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation (Coeur) is a silver producer with gold assets located in North America. The Company through its subsidiaries is engaged in the operation and/or ownership, development and exploration of silver and gold mining properties and companies located primarily within South America (Chile, Argentina and Bolivia), Mexico (Chihuahua), United States (Nevada and Alaska) and Australia (New South Wales). Coeur either directly or through wholly owned subsidiaries, owns, leases and has interests in certain exploration-stage mining properties located in the United States, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico and Tanzania. Coeur owns, either directly or indirectly, 100% of Empresa Minera Manquiri S.A. It also owns, either directly or indirectly, 100% of the capital stock of Coeur Argentina S.R.L. Coeur owns 100% of the Cerro Bayo mine in southern Chile, which comprises a high-grade gold and silver underground mine and processing facilities.I bought 3,000 shares at 1.06 today
bueno? Is that you?

Added another 2000 PRGN at 3.62. I dn't understand why this stock is sitting idle while the others are vaulting way higher today. BDI is rebounding nicely the last few days.

sold 4,000 PRGN at 3.73 (I see now that they are adding 10 million shares of stock for major dilution and that's the reason this stock is not responding). I will look for a better spot, but happy to have made $400

Following along. 1000 shares @3.69 for a profit of $390 less $16 commissions.

BB&T Earnings Beat Wall Street's Estimates

04/17/09 - 11:08 AM EDT

BBT , WFC , JPM , C , RF Lauren Tara LaCapra

BB&T also said it would hold its 47-cent quarterly dividend steady -- an uncommon move not replicated by many competitors. Other companies, like Regions Financial (RF Quote), have slashed dividends in an effort to preserve capital.

He added that future decisions "will reflect our desire to remain well capitalized in these uncertain economic times and to develop a capital plan that allows us to repay the U.S. Treasury's capital investment."

BB&T said it has deployed that capital in the $1.9 billion in new lending it has made since receiving $3.1 billion in TARP funds last fall. It made a $40 million dividend payment to the Treasury Department during the first quarter in connection with the funds, which were issued in exchange for preferred shares.
Kind of kicking myself for being caught on the outside looking in. Made some good money off of BBT, but should have held longer. Still a great dividend play for those looking to buy and hold.

BBT is rocketing up....$24.50.

Just bought some FAS at $9.07 hoping this spills over across the sector.

Finally sold off the remainder of my SBLK holdings at $3.06, for a cool 100% return. Nice to double up sometimes.

I've got a nice position in DSX still at 13.85, and it's at 15.32, and I think I'm gonna hold it over the WE to see if it will continue to climb. Maybe I'll sell off before earnings come out. Prospects look good here and for the sector.

Still hold some OIL positions as well.

I am heading out for the day here:

Set UCO to sell at 8.47

Set FEED to sell at 3.47

Doubtful either of these get tripped though

Good purchase! I have been away from my desk a couple days and haven't been able to follow. The limits I set for buying were too low to trigger.I wasn't expecting a large move in either direction and was trying to just play the 10% moves this has every day. Next week will be very interesting.

Sold 200 shares at $9.77. 100 were from an earlier purchase so I only pocketed $50 on this.Noticed PRGN blew past $4 after I sold. :lmao:

Of course PRGN goes nuts the second I sell my 4,000 shares. I have made a lot of money this week (so am not complaining), but this entire year has seen me just miss some huge wins.

I sold UCO at 8.47 before the close and actually bought 3,000 more FEED at 3.30. Both were triggered positions.

Year to Date Profit = $45,795

Today's Realized Gains/Losses: +456

1,000 UCO - Profit = $138

4,000 PRGN - Profit = $402

2,000 SAY - Loss = $132

3,000 CPE - Profit = $48

Holding these positions (unrealized gains/losses):

6,000 FEED @3.32

Noticing a trend here. New tactic is sell 24 hours after you do.

Just wanted to updated since my little time out for calling names in another thread and a wonderful vacation in Florida...beach, fishing, food, and fun.

04/06 - I set a sell order for FEED at 2.50. It had been going sideways and down, so I took profits on 500 shares for $300, for a total profit since 3/17 of $970. I set a buy order for 1000 FEED at 2.30, which hit on 04/09; I am holding for awhile.

Checking in again. Yet to get my iPhone yet and my work access is blocked now so can just check in at night and on the weekends. Back to cash here. I've had a nice little run up. I have written another GLD put and plan to look more at DBO and SLV as well. GE has been good to me as well as of late but sold my last shares via covered call on Friday.

added 5,000 FEED at 3.03. This is getting a tad painful. Average price of 11,000 shares now at $3.19

Wow, a couple of limits I set last night hit. Just as I said I was going to hold FEED for a while, a stop loss for 3.05 hits this morning. Putting total profit since 03/07 at $1720.

Set an order to buy 1000 SAY @ 1.88 (Friday's close) and it hit. SAY was trading premarket @ 1.94 and I thought I might miss, but waited it out.

Front end oil at 46.36 right now. I am amazed that it could fall this far based on consumption levels at $53/barrel for the last months and summer ever-approaching. This may go lower in the short-term, but I will be shocked if this does not rebound strongly soon.

the financials decline is beginning, I expect it to last for several weeks on the whole...and will be holding a FAZ swing position until at least 15.0.

Bought back my original 3,000 shares of FEED @ $3.00, the same price I sold.

Bought 3,000 DXO @ $2.63

Bought 1,000 EXM @ $6.82

Picked up FAS at open for 8.35 (one third of my account). It looks like I will be testing my average down theory here quickly. I will double down if it gets to 7.00 or at the end of the day if it is still below 7.50. If it continues down in the coming days, I will put the last third of my stack in around 5.50. Then wait and hold on.

I don't sense any real rebound coming today so figured I could post this early. Upside down on most holdings, but I think all should rebound nicely.

Year to Date Profit = $45,795

Today's Realized Gains/Losses: No sales

Holding these positions (unrealized gains/losses):

20,000 DXO @ 2.68 (Will sell at 2.90) - Currently at 2.64

2,000 UCO @ 7.51 (Will sell at 8.00) - Currently at 7.39

1,000 EXM @ 6.51 (Will sell at 7.15) - Currently at 6.48
