Got to give credit where credit is due, PRGN just chewed though a lot of the shares at 4.78-4.79. Still 37K shares at 4.80, but if it can clear that 4.85 is a certainty. It would also tell me that there is a lot of support behind this stock going into earnings..

And just like that someone put in a 20K share order at 4.76.
 
Why sell PRGN this early during the run-up?

Aren't they reporting after the bell tomorrow? Tuesday afternoon this *should be higher.

Interesting that SBLK hasn't been running up along with PRGN. They report earnings on Wed. after the close. If it were going to jump I would expect it to have started by now. I tried playing this one last quarter for the earnings run up after PRGN reported and got burned.

I think some of us are selling PRGN because (1) we've already booked nice gains and (2) buy the rumor, sell the news -- it may be that a lot of the positive earnings that may come out are already built into the big runup over the past few weeks.

Also, with the last couple shippers I think they got hurt after earnings. If we already have a big gain locked in, why risk that? It's dropped before, and if it drops significantly again, I'll be buying a crapload more. Rinse, repeat.

 
Dodds, what are your thoughts on Free? Are you holding for 10%+ gains? Selling any around buy in point to lessen your exposure? I'm leary of where the price trend has gone in the last week... :headbang:

Not a sure thing that it will run again tomorrow with the way the market is and the BDI down 8 straight days now. I was just hedging a bit...I did however see that my order only filled 600 of the 1000, so still have 1400 shares. Cancelled the remaining and still may get out if it runs us past 4.85, and/or look to buy on a big dip at the end of day perhaps.
 
the $4.78 resistance has gotten hit pretty hard. Went from around 33,000 shares to 17,000 over a 20 minute period.

So someone bought a lot at these prices.

While there is a decent chance PRGN may bump more tomorrow pre-earnings, there certainly is no guarantee of this. Just looking to lock in some gains (as have others).Sold 2000 shares of PRGN @ $4.75. Have another 2000 shares to sell @ $4.84 (really hoping that triggers today). Will sell another 1500 shares if it hits $5.00 today, otherwise will put a $.10 trailing stop Tuesday to sell 1500 shares. Plan to hold 1500 shares through earnings....Have 2000 shares of HEB @ $2.10. Not really currently excited about that. Though will likely continue to hold. It could still pay nicely some day... 5000 shares of SBLK. Thanks rpreswood for post on SBLK earnings release being after close of business on Wed 8/12. Had not noticed that... Hope for $4.00 with SBLK though will be quite happy with $3.80... Willing to take the risk to hold through earnings on this one. As stock price to date has not spiked much and hopefull will exceed analysts estimates as those seem reachable.
 
The September 5 calls on paragon are getting some pretty good action. Even some 7.50 calls getting some small play. Hopefully this bodes well that we can shuffle past 5 and hit 6. Good luck to all those still holding.

 
If PRGN earnings disappoint, whats the floor? $3.50's? I'm trying to determine if the upside outweighs the risk of locking in profits now (for me its up 9%).

 
I put in another sell order for PRGN @ 4.97. Selling off 75% of my remaining holdings. Too tempting not to take profits here.

Gonna hold the remaining 25% through earnings in hopes that they crush.

If I don't make money on this trade, I'll be a little bit upset.1,400 @ 2.13. :thumbup: I'm going to wait and see what tomorrow brings. 5.30, 4.60 - I'm way ahead either way and I do think that low $5's will hit tomorrow.
 
I think I found a company more crooked then the shippers. FEED just announced earnings. No Press release. No statement. No Nothing. Just a 10-Q filed with the SEC with no Balance sheet or cash flow statement. Heck even the Income statement is compressed into a few lines. They didn't even announce the EPS nor discuss how many shares are out!

Very strange. Never seen anything like this.

:yes: I bought 5k at that price. I couldnt stand not being in. I booked a huge gain for about 1 hour. This thing is doing exactly what it did last quarter. $5.50 easy on Wednesday.Im holding no matter what through earnings. These are pretty much free shares.

I am in AVNR today at 3.66. Hate being so late to the party, but I really think this has a chance to run. It hit 4.40 before pre market opened, not sure how that is possible.

This stock has been as high as 16.00 in the past. Not sure yet if the O/S was the same.

:bag: I bought 5k at that price. I couldnt stand not being in. I booked a huge gain for about 1 hour. This thing is doing exactly what it did last quarter. $5.50 easy on Wednesday.Im holding no matter what through earnings. These are pretty much free shares.

$5 pre-market. Im happy for my 5,000 shares yet mad I sold too early. Id be extremely surprised if it doesnt hit $5.50 after market.

Down 10% in pre-market. Will be interesting to see where the chips fall on this one. Think I'll wait for the dust to settle before thinking about getting back in now.

In for another 5,000 shares of PRGN at $4.78.Watch this afternoon. Running up to 3pm central there will be some really nice positive movement.
