We want to set up our waiver wire so that you have WW priority and not 1st come 1st served. We were going to go reverse order of our draft.

I cannot figure out how to set this up on myfantastleague.

Anyone out there that commish there and can help me? I sent them an email but have not heard back.

Set up a custom waiver wire order, then set the rules for the weekly waiver period.

**this is in the "For Commissioners>>>Setup" menu

Also, MFL usually gets back to you...I have always gotten a response. We've used them for 5 years now.

Hope this helps!

When I first started using MFL a few years ago I had the same question. I posted a message at their support site and got a response. I saved the email. Here it is with my original questions and his responses.

First let me say that I am a new commish to MFL. This league is a 1st year dynasty league, where most of the rules were cloned after a league that used RTS as the hosting site.

My question is - Can I setup the waiver system to not allow owners to submit waiver requests before 7:00 a.m. Tuesdays and must submit waiver requests by Wed at 11:59 p.m. I want the waivers to process automatically sometime Thursday morning between midnight and 7:00 a.m. After the waivers are processed, I want the system to allow first-come-first-serve add/drops until the start of the first game for that week. One note, is that on weeks where there is a Thurs game, I want the waiver wire deadline to be 24 hrs before the start of that game. Can I do this in MFL?

Chuck Cantrell (commish of Fantasy Legends II League).

welcome aboard!

yes, this can definitely be done in myfantasyleague.com - the league calendar is the key to setting up rules along these lines.

here's a general idea of how you'd translate your league rules into calendar events on the league calendar setup page:

QUOTE

No Waivers Allowed starts at Kickoff of week 1 (happens 16 more times)

(note that you don't need an end date here, because the following rule you're about to set up defines a new waiver type that happens, which effectively ends this "no waivers allowed" period for waivers.)

QUOTE

must submit waiver requests by Wed at 11:59 p.m

Waiver Request starts at tuesday, september 13th at 7am (happens 16 more times)

QUOTE

After the waivers are processed, I want the system to allow first-come-first-serve add/drops until the start of the first game for that week.

FCFS waivers starts at thursday, september 15th at 12:00 am (otherwise known as one second past 11:59:59 on wednesday, september 14th) (happens 16 more times)

your best bet here would be once you've got the above "base" rules set up, view the season long league calendar page, and then you'll be able to delete the events that fall weeks with a thursday night game, and insert new events to account for those weeks.

please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

This is the one thing I can't stand about MFL, ie the way they have you set up waivers is not at all "user friendly" unless you are happy with one of their "packaged" (pre-canned) setups.

I also wanted to add, where he said to put "happens 16 more times", it had to be "happens 15 more times" for my league. It depends on the number of games your league plays. Our league has 13 reg season games and 3 playoff weeks.
