I think he'll be solid with Dragic, I like him better than a couple C's already taken. He's ok, but his numbers will go down without Nash. Definitely not a 2nd rounder, IMO.2.14 - Marcin Gortat, C

X says one hour. Mock as necessary.

MaybeNo clue, can you pick arena on this? There isn't any advantage is there? Loose parquet squares at Boston Garden?Do we pick an arena in this like baseball?

Wall missing the first month of the season really made that pick seem weird.Really thought Lawson would go higher. I was a bit surprised both Jennings and Wall went ahead of him - he isn't flashy but should be better than both of those guys.
Jennings did really well in the sim last season.Agree I'd rather have Lawson than Wall though. Especially if Wall throws up 4 TOs a game again.Really thought Lawson would go higher. I had a really tough time deciding between Jennings, Lawson, and Wall. Luckily I found out about Wall's knee which eliminated him. Jennings won out partially because he's in a contract year and even more because he plays for the Bucks and I'll get to watch alot of his games here.'Notorious T.R.E. said:Jennings did really well in the sim last season.Agree I'd rather have Lawson than Wall though. We'll just have to expand our knee specialist budget. The backup plan to Iguodala for me was Wall, I had no idea about the knee either.I didn't know about this until now.'8ebok24 said:Wall missing the first month of the season really made that pick seem weird.'Abraham said:Really thought Lawson would go higher. Bump again for Timmy.Yeah, that would work too. You just have to stay at a pace where he's never averaging much more than 12 minutes per game.I believe you could also play him 36 minutes, then sit him 2 games, then play 36 minutes, then sit 2 games, etc.Yeah. You could play him 82 games at 12 minutes per game, or sit him for the first 2/3 of the season and then play him 36 minutes a game for the last third. But if you just started playing him 36 minutes a game at the beginning of the season, he'll fatigue very quickly.Should also point out that there's about 10% flexibility in minutes. So if Rose plays 1000 minutes in real life, you could probably squeeze 1100 out of him in the sim without huge fatigue issues.Let's say Derrick Rose misses two-thirds of the season with his knee injury but comes back for the last third playing heavy minutes with MVP stats. Would you have to limit him to, like, 12 minutes a game so he wouldn't get fatigued, right?3. Each player will be limited to approximately the minutes he played in the regular season. Play him more than that and he'll fatigue and be useless. I think if you play him way too much the game might even injure him, but not sure. I don't think there's any injury proneness rating or random serious injuries. The risk in this format will just be that your player gets hurt in real life.

Serious businessCan we cool it on naming players who haven't been picked yet? TIA.
hes not a point guardEllis is better than all those guys IMO:championship:
If you do 3, besides sucking he will also get hurt.So let's see if I understand this right: assuming Wall misses a month but then plays at full expected minutes for the rest of the year: as an owner, you would have three choices:1. You could rest Wall for the first month of your season, and then play him at full minutes with maximum effectiveness.2. You could start Wall from game 1, but play him at lesser minutes per game (equal to his season average minutes per game, which will of course take into account the time he missed). So if he plays 35 minutes a game instead of 43 minutes a game, for example, you could play the full season with Wall at maximum effectiveness.3. You could start Wall from game 1 and play him every minute he usually averages per game, but in that event you will be getting a statistically weaker John Wall- once he exceeds his yearly average minutes per game, his performance will rapidly decline.Am I correct in how this works?
Someone draft Derrick Rose before No.16 picks again.Serious businessCan we cool it on naming players who haven't been picked yet? TIA.

Was debating between Anthony Davis, Wall, and Curry at my last pick. I found out Wall was out for the first month with a knee issue so that scrapped him. Really wanted to pull the trigger on Curry to pair with Rondo to help stretch the floor, but the position scarcity of the big man led me to pull the trigger on Davis. Curry is going to be a beast this year if he can play and with Monta gone.2.17 Wardell Stephen Curry II, PG
Which gives out first, Wade's knees or Curry's ankles?2.17 Wardell Stephen Curry II, PG
Agreed. I would've been thrilled to get him at 2.17.Happy with Curry, but Lawson would've been a lot safer.'Abraham said:Really thought Lawson would go higher. I was a bit surprised both Jennings and Wall went ahead of him - he isn't flashy but should be better than both of those guys.

I fully admit that the extent of my NBA knowledge and interest stems from the FFA stuff we do. I wanted a PG, filtered on WIS and he was there.Yes, you do pick an arena, and it has no effect on anything. We probably don't need to draft them.'Notorious T.R.E. said:No clue, can you pick arena on this? There isn't any advantage is there? I considered him for my pick. Pretty good value at this spot.2.20 Paul Pierce
I'm surprised he's still on the board. He's getting old but still puts up good numbers.
I highly recommend everyone get a whatifsports ID. Then you can start a team (without paying) and look at the 11-12 stats.Last year, Love was 70% at PG84% at SG96% at SF100% at PF100% at CHe played the Perimeter 27% of the time, Midrange 37% and paint 37%. This shows where his shots will come from. How do I see what position a guy gets used in? I know Love gets minutes at PF and C, right? How can I see what those splits were last year so I can know how to complement him?
