Wondering who would you guys have picked between:Evan TurnerBradley BealGordon HaywardRodney StuckeyKevin MartinThose were the names I was debating between with my last pick and ended up going with Evan Turner.
I don't think Turner is the best fit for your squad with Rondo/Z-Bo/A-Davis. Imo, you should have taken K-Mart, Hayward or Beal. I'm partial to Beal of course since I selected him, but any of those three give you some needed perimeter scoring.Edit: That's not to say there still aren't some shooters out there too I suppose...you can still fill that need.
Team fit aside.... do you think Turner will have a better year than those guys?

I like Hayward the best of the bunch. He was really solid with increased minutes last season.

So the 6th round starts with Tim again or is it regular serpentine from here on out?

Well, according to who I've taken, it's time for me to select a shooting guard with this pick, in order to finish out my starting lineup. Problem is, there aren't very many really attractive guys left to choose from. So I'm going to table that for now, and instead I'm going to gamble on my backup point guard:

5.1 Derrick Rose

I already have Tony Parker. If Rose can come back after January, then I can hopefully get around 15 minutes a game from him for the entire season. Or perhaps I can play him in the backcourt alongside Parker. Either way, it's worth a gamble. Of course, if he doesn't come back during the regular season, or if he's gimpy or ineffective, I'm screwed. What the hell though.

I'm going to go with this option. ooof.

From anyone's experience, how much does WIS factor this sort of thing in? Will it see that all of your guys get their points in the paint and penalize you a little bit? Just curious.
I can't confirm or deny anything after looking in the WIS forums for a bit. But, a team has no perimeter shooters, it appears you can adjust your defense accordingly (for example Turner is 8% perimeter, 62% midrange, 30% inside -- Rondo is 7-47-46):

Offensive Range is a way to categorize players into groups (Perimeter, Midrange, Paint) that indicate what area on the floor they likely operated in most of the time. It's a key component in determining the effects of the Defensive Positioning setting.

For example, a player labeled as Perimeter would be affected negatively by an opposing defense playing a +3 positioning. A Midrange player would still be affected negatively on 3pt shots, but would experience a positive effect on 2pt shots. A Paint player would perform very well against a +3 defensive setting. The opposite would hold true for a -3 Defensive Positioning.

The Offensive Range designation is determined by a formula based on percentage of FGA that are 3pt shots, assists per minute, offensive rebounding, and position. So a player's range may vary from season to season depending on how the stats indicate they played that season.

5.2 Andrei Kirilenko

Great wing defender for me. Maybe not the stat sheet stuffer he was 5 years ago, but apparently he looked really good in the Olympics. Honestly he should have been gone long before this

PG - Jennings

SG - Matthews

SF - Kirilenko

PF - Faried

C - Horford

AK is solid but you better draft some scoring.

5.03 Tony Allen SG

I definitely don't need an extra wing but the proven talent at PF and PG is pretty bad right now. This probably won't end up being my starting 5 but they can all play at the positions I have them at and gives me a very nice defensive team.

PG: Ginobili

SG: Allen

SF: Iguodala

PF: Melo

C: Bogut

for Scoobus - 5.04 Jared Dudley

This is just fantastic value right here. Dudley is in line for major minutes this year. Little known fact - his nickname is Mr. Inside/Outside - for his ability to score from anywhere on the court.

To be honest I feel completely schooled here by Scooby because Dudley should have been drafted 2 rounds ago and I let him slide from my grasp. Congrats to the scoobymeister for wrapping up the championship here in the 5th round!! :confetti: :excited:

His offense is extremely efficient, but he's not a stat-sheet stuffer and although he has a reputation as a good defender, WIS has consistently given him a below-average D rating.I like the pick here, would've liked to get him with my next pick, but I wouldn't get carried away.

Impossible to get carried away any time you get first round value in the 5th!! :P

I feel like we should give Jared Dudley a call and let him know people are this excited about him.

Dudley and Nash had a good vibe, we'll see how he plays with Dragic (and more opportunity, really).

It's criminal that Thornton, who is a top 50 player on every site I've looked at but one, fell in to the 100's. Bizarre that a bench guy like Dudley draws applause but a 19ppg sg like Thornton gets ignored.
