13.03 Joel Freeland, PF/C?

I don't know anything about him other than the Blazers have held his rights for a long time. I'm not sure if Leonard is ready for the NBA yet and JJ Hickson is pretty mediocre, so Freeland should carve out a nice little role for 20mpg or so. On the other hand, Freeland has been awful in the preseason and may not be much of an NBA player himself. If Bogut doesn't play much this year I'm going to have to platoon like 5 ####ty guys at center.

Tim:I'm available to make your picks until you're ready to return to the FFA. You have a lot more important things to deal with. I hope I'm able to find you some useful minutes for the sim next year.This is the best part of the draft for me. I'm an aficionado of garbage time and DNP-CDs.
 
Really wish I didn't trade away my 13th and 14th rounders for Kenyon Martin.

I mean my team would be stacked if I could have gotten the Joel Freelands and the Jeremy Tylers in these rounds.

Alright just went through and updated everything, looks like Frosty juked out some people and TUP sort of got skipped, but whatever I don't think he'll really care at this point. TUP is still on the clock for his 13th rounder.

I just said I thought it was strange that you did that not that Martin was a bad pick for this point of the draft. :shrug:

Webster has looked good this preseason. I was a little surprised to see that he was only 25 years old....seems like he has been in the league for a decade. Solid pick, should get good minutes as they work beal in.

This is his 8th year, he was a fairly young high school import when the Blazers drafted him. Portland traded down that year, they could have had Paul or Williams instead. Oops.
 
SF Draymond Green

I have a feeling this guy will get minutes. He plays way too hard, way too skilled, and way too smart despite his lack of size for the 4 or athletic ability for the 3.

Dammit. I didn't think anyone else would have him on their radar. Oh well.It's been awesome to watch him go from a guy who wasn't even expected to ever start for MSU to an All-American and now an NBA player. Hope he does well.
 
I think we might have to put on a more a strict clock onto this bad boy if we really plan on getting through 5 or 7 more rounds by Monday. Its not like there are a bunch of gems left if somebody gets skipped anyway.

As Scoobus can attest, Copeland was on my short list of guys to take prior to his outburst this weekend. I'm sure this will be the year Amare plays 40 minutes all 82 games and/or Wallace/Thomas play like it's 1999.

I hope Copeland makes the club and can manage to have some kind of NBA career. I'm a fan of guys like him who follow their dream and develop their game all over the world.
