NBA 2012-13 Back to the Future League (1 Viewer)

Yikes, I have worse depth than the Blazers.

Primary rotation:

PG/SG - Russell Westbrook, George Hill, Jordan Crawford

SF - Nicolas Batum, Gerald Green

PF/C - Serge Ibaka, Derrick Favors, Spencer Hawes

Well below average bench guys:

Chauncey Billups, Gustavo Ayon

My D League fodder:

Patrick Mills, Ish Smith, Darius Miller, Omri Casspi, Lance Thomas, Corey Maggette, Josh Harrelson, Timofey Mozgov

Looks like I pulled ahead in first place on the Fantrax site. My rotation would be:

PG-Kyle Lowry, Ricky Rubio

SG-James Harden, Eric Bledsoe

SF-Klay Thompson, Jeff Green

PF-Larry Sanders, Earl Clark

C-Marc Gasol, Enes Kanter

Martell Webster, Jermaine Oneal, Jordan Hill, and Jimmer Fredette can play in cleanup time.

YEah, that seems to have wored out well. Harden and Sanders have really paid off.

Team to beat IMO.Unfortunately for you the WIS bball simulator is unpredictable to say the least.

Here's where I think I'm at:

Bubble Crap/Low MPG:

Jared Sullinger, Reggie Jackson, Andrea Bargnani

The original goal was to get a bunch of 3pt shooters and bomb away with Chandler in the middle to defend and rebound. For the most part that worked except for piece of #### Bargnani. Zeller would be a great 4/5 backup, but now he's thrust into the starting role. I have 5 guys shooting 37% or better from downtown and a number of decent foul shooters. Lillard/Vazquez/George/Salmons all pass the ball well. A number of guys are near 1 spg with George at 1.8. I was hoping James Johnson would be a stopper with George, but he didn't really pan out -- I'm guessing he'll still have a good rating. I could use a solid 20 mins at PF, perhaps dangling Ellington and his 40.6% from 3 in return.

Here's what my final rotation should look like:

PG: Jeff Teague 33 MPG 14.8/7.1/2.3 16.23 PER

SG: J.R. Smith 33.5 MPG 17.4/2.8/5.1 16.01 PER

SF: Danilo Gallinari 32.8 MPG 16.3/2.4/5.3 16.57 PER

PF: Tim Duncan 30.1 MPG (60 games) 17.4/2.7/10 25.00 PER

C: Dwight Howard 35.5 MPG 16.5/1.4/12.6 20.06 PER

Key reserves

PG/SG Jarrett Jack 29.6 MPG 13.3/5.5/3 15.17 PER

Kosta Koufos C/PF 22.6 MPG 8.2/.4/6.8 19.84 PER

Mike Dunleavy SF/SG 26 MPG 10.5/1.9/4 13.73 PER

Brandan Wright PF/C 17 MPG (53 Games) 8/.6/3.8 22.11 PER

End of bench

Matt Bonner F/C 12.3 PER

Rodney Stuckey G 11.63 PER

Darrell Arthur F 11.86 PER

I'll have to manage Duncan's minutes, but it's the spot where I have the most quality depth. Scoring should be really balanced between Duncan and Howard inside and JR, Gallo, Teague, Jack, Dunleavy on the perimeter.

Pick Whatever (can't access the google doc):Chris Copeland F
Pre-season stats don't count in the sim
As Scoobus can attest, Copeland was on my short list of guys to take prior to his outburst this weekend. I'm sure this will be the year Amare plays 40 minutes all 82 games and/or Wallace/Thomas play like it's 1999.
I hope Copeland makes the club and can manage to have some kind of NBA career. I'm a fan of guys like him who follow their dream and develop their game all over the world.
At this point I'd settle for a towel waiver.
Copeland's probably going to have to be part of my rotation. :bag:

So the season is almost over. What do we do now. How long does it take for wis to get the data in
Don't know how long it takes, but once the data is available (a week or two?), we start loading our teams. I'm not sure if we've determined divisions or not, but we'll need to do that as well.

Once everyone pays and loads their teams we're off and running. Obviously people may have more than 15 usable players and there may be some trading back and forth to finalize rosters.

My defense ratings are ####### terrible, just absolutely putrid!

Playoff chances... dwindling.

ETA: If anyone is looking to swap a big guy a quality guard, let me know.

6 guys with above 90 D ratings, can't really argue with any of them except Ed Davis, haven't seen enough of him to make an informed opinion.

Pretty happy with my defense ratings. D-Wade got a 93, Isaiah Thomas a 28, everybody else is mediocre. For an offensively-minded team that's not bad.

Name Tyson Chandler 60

Tyler Zeller 32

Paul George 61

Greivis Vasquez 26

Damian Lillard 32

Bradley Beal 61

John Salmons 29

Wayne Ellington 32

James Johnson 79

John Henson 60

Jared Sullinger 41

Reggie Jackson 56

Defence not too turrble all-around. Chandler didn't pan out like I hoped...he was a 90 last year. I think a lot of 60s is a good thing though. Still think I could move Vazquez, but I'm not sure what kind of deal I could get? A 20mpg PF and a 20mpg SG/SF perhaps?

Ugghhhhh... good thing Evan Turner has 100% PG!! Lots of injuries...at the PG spot will have to go 3 deep, on the 5 players in rotation each for the wings and bigs. I'll be able to make it without any trades... but it will be ugly. Rotation looks like:

PG

PG- Rajon Rondo - 70 DEF / 1441 min

Evan Turner - 36 DEF / 2892 min

Shuan Livingston - 55 DEF / 1455 min

WINGS

SG - Evan Turner - 36 DEF / 2892 min

SF - Vince Carter - 66 DEF / 2093 min

Caron Butler - 32 DEF /1879 min

Tobias Harris - 54 DEF / 1299 min

Alec Burks - 46 DEF / 1137 min

BIGS

PF - Zach Randolph - 37 DEF / 2607 min

C - Anthony Davis - 64 DEF / 1846 min

Taj Gibson - 71 DEF / 1459 min

Ekpe Udoh - 73 DEF / 1312 min

*Random filler for 648 minutes

Stephen Curry top 5 in salary, Dwyane Wade top 20 despite his usual parade of minor injuries, Thad Young top 30. I might have a shot at this thing.Players with min/82:PG Stephen Curry 36.4PG Isaiah Thomas 25.9PG Kendall Marshall 8.6SG Dwyane Wade 29.2SG Shannon Brown 17.1G/F Corey Brewer 24.4G/F Wilson Chandler 13.2G/F Jeffery Taylor 18.4F Thaddeus Young 32.1PF Amare Stoudemire 8.3PF Trevor Booker 10.8PF Kurt Thomas 4.7C Robin Lopez 26.0C DeAndre Jordan 24.5C Hasheem Thabeet 9.4C Kyle O'Quinn 7.8Amazingly all 18 of my draft picks made the 200-minute minimum, although Donald Sloan and Jan Vesely are unusably awful.Starting 5 right now would be Curry, Wade, Brewer, Young and Jordan. If people are hurting bad enough for minutes, I could do an upgrade package where I pair Brewer with Brown or Taylor to get a better starting SF (or PF and I could slide Young over). Could trade Thomas too if I get 10-12 passable PG minutes back (really don't want to roster Marshall).

Jamal Crawford for Zach Randolph or Anthony Davis?

Kyle Lowry, Ricky Rubio, Eric Bledsoe

Jimmer Fredette, Roger Mason

Klay Thompson, Martell Webster

Jeff Green, Earl Clark, Jordan Hill

Enes Kanter, Jermaine ONeal

I'm interested.

Maybe something like Jamal Crawford, Manu Ginobili and Jordan Hamilton for Jeff Green, Enes Kanter and Eric Bledsoe? Gives you a crazy good perimeter lineup.

Or maybe we can go big... something like Iggy, Ginobili and Hamilton/Donuts for Sanders, Eric Bledsoe and Earl Clark?

You know, my top picks were love, joe Johnson, dragic, and Lou Williams. I also got Valencias somewhere in there and the two power forwards the rockets traded out. So my team no doubt sucks.

My rotation, assuming I calculated everything right in regards to MPG for a full 82 game season:

PG - Chalmers (25), Prigioni (15), C. Joseph (4), A. Brooks (4)

SG - Afflalo (28), W. Green (13), Dudley (7)

SF - Millsap (29), Dudley (19)

PF - R. Evans (24), Nowitzki (20), Haslem (4)

C - Vucevic (31), Varejao (11), Haslem (4)

I sure could use a SG.

Players who I have that aren't projected to be in the rotation or have more minutes than listed above include Haslem (17), Biedrins (6), M. Williams (21), N. Cole (19), A. Brooks (12), D. Jones (12)

looks like i can cobble the following:

lawson, pg

parsons, sg/sf

harkless, sf/sg

jefferson, pf

pekovic, c

seraphin, pf/c

beasley, sf/pf

nick young, sg/sf

quincy pondexter, sf

darius morris, pg
