Toney Douglas
Alexey Shved
Austin Daye
Marcus Morris
JaJuan Johnson
Miles Plumlee
Josh Howard

I don't have enough roster spots. It shows I'm in the right league, but I'm capped out at 12 spots. Help! I'd hate for Josh Howard and Eddie Curry to not have a spot on the bench...

Going to roll for division from these 6 pots based on order of finish. Within each pot they'll be numbered 1-4, I'll roll a 4 sided die to determine which team goes in the Atlantic Division (top one on the screen). The rest of the teams will then be slotted in order.

Example: Pot 6 is 1 - Groovus, 2 - Chem X, 3 - Kraft, 4 - Cheese. If I roll a 4, Cheese is in the Atlantic, Groovus is Central, X is Midwest and Kraft is Pacific

Lol, pasting from excel apparently is no bueno...edit is above.

Honest question

What is the purpose of drafting before the season. Wouldnt it be just as challenging/fun to draft after the season

Well, it's kind of like a fantasy draft.

We've done a few of them now for baseball it was suggested we give it a shot for hoops.

makes sense. I was just wondering
If you draft after the season, everyone has pretty much equal teams and we're all at the mercy of the sim. If you draft before the season, you can get a better team by picking guys who will outproduce ADP. Plus, you can root for your guys throughout the year.

Not to mention the people that end up with the top few picks basically get the best teams by default if you do post-season drafts.

Somehow I think the teams with Lebron and Durant are going to do just fine in this league as well

True, but the entire key-code isn't given to you ahead of time at least. I think it offers more variation in results.

You also can't use your computer generated players, though I'm tempted to play Albert Frankowski. Dude sounds like a baller.

The highlight of my season is likely to be that my team is playing in the Compaq Center, which is now the home of Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church.

Also, looking to trade some of my Poo Poo platter for a "marginally marginal center." At the moment Patrick Patterson is starting at C for me hwich means Jamison is playing substantial minutes and Love is getting 8 - EIGHT - minutes a game. Ooof.

What's the point of the computer-generated players? Why give us them but not let us choose 15 players for our rosters?

I probably screwed up. I checked the "allow rookies" check box thinking "well, my whole team is rookies so I better allow them", but I think these made up guys might be "rookies".

Confirmed. I just killed the rookies. :bye:
Albert Frankowski is going to play overseas

Albert!!!!!!!!

I made a huge mistake and wandered into the baseball forum and saw all the fun WIS drafts you had in there.

:( , very sad we can't get stuff like that started in here.

I think the main reason that hasn't happened is many don't like how basketball simulates.

We'll see how this goes and see if there's desire for another league...maybe historical or some other variation.
