Wade hits a shot with 4 seconds left and I lose to Sparty 95-94. I threw a slightly different lineup at him to slow him down on the offensive end. Looks like I outplayed him in most areas but lost the TO battle 17-7 and that was the killer in the end.

interesting that Drummond has just as many 3 pointers as blocks through 3 games....

Good game Tim. I am now 0-3. Tristan Thompson with 13/13 as he continues to rebound like a monster. The rest of my team is awful.

Lou Williams and Kevin Love being hurt most of the season killed you.

Interesting that my team finished 7th in Fantrax but absolutely sucks in the sim. It looks like I'm an underdog in my next 9 games.

Doesn't help you that Asik got a 40 rating as one of the best half dozen defensive big men in the nba.

2-1. My team seems to be pretty good defensively so far. But there's no way I'll be able to compete with the really good teams in the league, due to two gambles I made in the draft, both of which failed: first, I spent too high a pick on Javale McGee, figuring he'd get way more minutes this year. He didn't. Then I spent too high a pick on Derrick Rose in the hope that he'd come back in January and give me the best backup point guard in the league. That didn't happen either. Oh well.

I know. I saw that.

I assume its because he isn't a big shot blocker and his teammates were so awful on the defensive end that it brought his rating down. Still, I would imagine that at worst his defensive rating would have been near league average in this sim, even though be probably deserves one of those 80+ ratings.

Pre trade Harden might have actually been a better fit for the sim than Rockets Harden. Thunder Harden probably would have had a better defensive rating and would have been more efficient which could make up for the extra usage and number of minutes.

I've been on the Harden bandwagon since his ASU days. I was pimping him in the draft thread the year OKC took him. I took him in our last Build a Franchise draft for my team and my imaginary Lebron team and argued about how they would fit together calling them MJ/Pippen lite.

I thought there was about a 10% chance OKC would trade him, so that didn't really factor into me taking him in the 2nd round. I thought he'd put up better numbers than last year and justify his high pick but never dreamed of top 10 numbers. Him and LARRY SANDERS! were probably two of the biggest steals in the draft.

(I also tried to trade Harden for Kobe numerous times, offer still on table RODG12!!!)

Although to be fair, we only have 24 teams in this league as opposed to the 30 in the NBA, so there should be more offensive talent/efficiency on these teams compared to the real ones.

Yeah, I think you need to switch around your starting lineup. The only decent defender you have starting is Prince.

No way. Harden at OKC is a 2nd round pick, exactly where Jmon took him. Harden at Houston is a first round pick, maybe even top 10. That gave Jmon the equivalent of 2 first round picks= championship.

Its not really the percentages that are out of whack as much as the number of possessions.

After looking at Harden in here the last couple seasons, I agree with you. I figured he would have been around a 60 defender last year playing with a good defensiveness team and something like a 30-35 defender this season as arguably the worst defender on a poor defensive team. Nope. He has a 60 something rating this year and a low 40s from last year. That makes a big difference.

Glancing at your team, seems like you have a lot of guys with high usage rates, Durant and Gordon especially. They're not gunna have as many looks on your team as they did in real life because of this. All your other stats look pretty much the same as their actual stats.

0-6. We aren't far from the part where people start worrying about being the first team to lose to me. I honestly think id trade my starting 5 for coyotes second unit. Joe Johnson with 15 points on 4/10 shooting is my BEST effort. Stupid Kevin love.

Yeah, usage is like that. On my team Wade and Curry will score less than in real life because Corey Brewer's usage is too high and he'll steal shots from them (and usually miss, although so far I've been pretty lucky on his FG%).

If you set your offense to fastbreak, you'll create more total shots in general and your scoring averages will move closer to real life. No idea if that will affect your efficiency positively or negatively though.

Wasn't really a decision. I just drafted the second half of the draft really really bad.

ETA: Through some trades I probably added 25 minutes to my roster.

If somebody has a player they would like to trade with something like 25 mpg for either Ivan Johnson (who is surprisingly awesome offensively, has 100% PF and C, 99% SF, 13mpg) or Bogut (rebounding monster, solid defender, 100% PF and C, 10mpg), let me know. I'm actually not even sure if its possible to do trades. My whole team is going to be hurt by the end of the work week. :(
