**NBA BTTF V -- GREATEST THREAD IN NBA FORUM HISTORY (2 Viewers)

I think he's either going to outplay Collison and be the starter a third of the way through the season or he's not going to be a regular in the rotation.
Doubt it. Collison is better than people think.  But I'd be thrilled as a fan if that's even a question. Absent a trade or Lawson falling totally apart, he'll get some minutes just because the team is so thin at the position.

Kings are also involved in a lot of trade rumors, including possibly trading for ol' SWCer's enemy, Michael Carter Williams...so that might muddy the waters.
I think Vlade clearly reads the NBA thread and knew as a result that he did not want to take MCW anywhere near a financial institution.

Russell put a line up last night that only Kobe could love...12 points on 6-21 shooting while going 0-9 from 3 point range.

As far as Lawson, I have a LOT of uncertainty (though TREMENDOUS UPSIDE) AT Guard.  He takes what could become a weakness and perhaps moves it to strength. I at least (should) have the starting PG and then additional minutes from the Kings backcourt.

Hopefully there will be enough min between R Jax, Tyler Johnson and maybe some swing play at Guard from Tyreke to cover the other spot. Hopefully.

TJ McConnell - Pg - philly

kJ mcdaniels - bench - houston
If one consecutive year of playoff appearances has taught me anything, it's this: having Carmelo Anthony is key to success.  My team with melo made the playoffs.  The other 3 teams didn't have melo and missed the playoffs.

If one consecutive year of playoff appearances has taught me a second thing, it's that having enough minutes is important so that you don't end up with Luis Scola running point 6 minutes a game.  McConnell had a sneaky 20mpg last year and should easily surpass that as the starting Pg in philly while Simmons is out.  As for kcdaniels, he's just an injury to ariza, brewer, and Gordon away from getting 7 or 8 minutes of his own.

Its all ckming togethrr.

To a large degree, probably.  But you love Lawson like he's your son, so you already have him getting 15/7.
It's not as much my unconditional love of Lawson as I think that MCW pairs better with a PG that can play off ball and shoot a bit than the mediocre SGs they have.  Their bigs outside of Cousins kinda blow too, so I think a two PG lineup is probably their best 5 with Gay at PF.

When's the last time SacTown thought of things in this way?  CWebb days?

I'll grab Shabazz Muhammad if he hasn't already been taken somewhere and misspelled.  Want to have a piece of the emergent T-Wolves dynasty

Ty Lawson, PG Kings

Gets Collison's min during his suspension. Surprised he lasted from my last pick, perhaps Im missing something? Hope this pick secures my backcourt, hedging RJax' injury (and Evans for that matter).
He's absolutely terrible.

But he's guaranteed to start 8 games and is the backup to a guy I have.

I'll also take the straight up over on terrible. He may suck, he may surprise, but I don't believe he will be terrible (and I will need the minutes either way)
