**NBA BTTF V -- GREATEST THREAD IN NBA FORUM HISTORY (2 Viewers)

12.15 Jeremy Lamb, SG/SF

Had this guy on my list for like 5 rounds. Nice sim player last year, but apparently his real-life minutes are in jeopardy because he doesn't guard at all. That means he'll fit well on my team.

My defenseless roster, from most point-guardingest to most centerest:

Tim Frazier, Stephen Curry, Lou Williams, Wesley Matthews, Jeremy Lamb, Tobias Harris, Mike Scott, Trey Lyles, David Lee, Enes Kanter, Tristan Thompson, Timofey Mozgov.

Corey Brewer

He was disengaged last year and had his worst season in a half decade. Let's just hope that was Howard's doing and not Harden's or his age catching up to him.

I have some last names written down on a Google doc. I have no idea who they are though and I keep needing to type their last name into basketball reference to find their first name and confirm that they are actual players.

At least its almost the weekend. So we can spend 12 hours to find 8 more names, all chosen before 2PM monday.

We better pick up to get done before playoffs begin.

Seems we've hit a nosedive since the Hermoinegomez Granger was picked.

12    .    17    [    288    ]    Eephus        Alec Burks    SG

No timetable for return

Strongly looked at Burks, still has an indefinite timetable to return. Very high upside at this point in the draft though.

Was that the guy you were trying to trade up for Eephus?

Yeah but I found some other players who I like almost as much so I would have had second thoughts on pulling the trigger on a trade.

The amount of trading in these things has trended down.

just like to say I appreciate those who put the team whoever they are drafting plays for.  saves me from searching depth charts looking....he played here last year, where is he.....apparently he doesn't play for this team anymore......10 minutes later, oh looks like he moved on to Portland to be the 3rd string Center there, good for him

btw, just how bad is bad D in this? seems there are pretty few 80+ guys out there.  Is 40 def bad, is 25 terrible? does it matter?

There are a lot more bad defenders than good ones.  Consider that most of these WIS leagues are made of teams where they use players from all NBA history.

Even a bad NBA defender would shut Koya down in a game of 21
Koya shuts himself down in a game of pretty much anything at this point.

(that said I'm finally allowed "light exercise" and soon real exercise, so need to get back on the horse)

Yeah, 5th year doing this draft and a couple all-time ones.  Still no discernible takeaway on how D rating affects things.

It's not clear whether the sim aggregates the rankings of the five players on the floor, does direct matchups by position or some combination of the two.
