**NBA BTTF V -- GREATEST THREAD IN NBA FORUM HISTORY (1 Viewer)

If anyone has a plethora of 3/4 options, including an all-star caliber guy and is up for a blockbuster trade ... I have James Harden and Isaiah Thomas, and I just checked the rules of basketball and apparently there's only one ball in play at a time.
I may have a fit. Including Centers (since they often can do PF as well) I have

KAT (unless it's Harden can't see that, and good as he's been, it's not harden), Tyson Chandler, Taj Gibson, Harrison Barnes (usage too high?), Mike Muscala, Luc a Moute Foute grab ya in the Boute, Zach Randolph (of course, he sorta likes the ball too) and have a number of Guards I could give back in the right deal.

Honestly, I'm shocked to be in the (bottom of even) top ten as of now. I came in knowing freakin' nothing about today's NBA. Heck, I'm still shocked Isaiah Thomas is still playing after all these years! Gotta be in this 50's, right?

Somehow I'm leading the league in rebounds, decent in most other categories other than guard driven ones, like 3pt and 3pt%, assists and all. So I'd definitely be interested in trading some front court for some backcourt if there's a fit.

Looking to get me some assists.  Looking to deal a big man, could give back a guard, depending, for a PG that is assist heavy. Could give back a guard.

Could also consider dealing Harrison Barnes and one of the aforementioned PF/C types for a top SF (basically, Barnes' scoring plus more assists type deal) in some 2 for 2.  I may be able to give a few more minutes than I get, moreso in the frontcourt.

I am so decidedly mediocre, which is an actual improvement for me from down right putrid.

I have 7 guys that have played over 40 games, but only 4 of them are over 30 minutes.

Looks like my 7 rotation guys are;

Schroder

Oladipo

Porter, Jr.

Batum

Seff Curry

Monroe

Jerebko

I am hopeful gary harris and new orleans noel can get enough minutes to be useful.  gonna be short on bigs, but maybe I can cobble an asik, richaun holmes couple of minutes. when the nix finally dump Carmelo, maybe the awful lance Thomas gets enough minutes to make me a 20-62 and squadron.

I'm actually doing OK in Fantrax but I'm going to stink in WIS. My fantrax performance is based more on volume than talent. I will have minutes to spare though, so I got that going for me   :)

PG Lowry/?

SG Hood/Temple/Knight(Gross)

SF Ennis/E. Turner

PF  Marv Williams/Horford/Big Al

C Henson/Horford/Felicio

Bunch of OK bench guys but nothing special

Justin Holiday
Troy Daniels
Jaylen Brown
Wade Baldwin
Bobby Portis

I have some depth at big.  Could part with any one of the four in return for a PG / assists

Didn't see this before, cleaned some PMs out.
I don't remember the potential deal, but always working to talk.  Getting closer to end of season so perhaps it's time to get REAL.

That said, it may be more in my interest to deal frontcourt for a point or SG with decent assists but I'm a big fan of multiple deals to craft my team.

Post All*Star Look at my team:

PG: Parker (20), Livingston (15), Sessions (13)

SG: Beal (30), Iguodala (18)

SF: Ja. Johnson (25), Sefolosha (23)

PF: Aldridge (30), Ju. Hamilton (18)

C: Whiteside (31), McGee (9), Looney (8)

ROSTER BUBBLE:

Dario Saric - Man. Wish I had picked Embiid instead. Hopefully his goes bananas the second half of the season to become usable. Battling with Justin Hamilton for the last spot.

D-E-D:

Lorenzo Brown

Henry Ellenson

Kevin Martin

Andrew Nicholson

Quincy Pondexter

OUTLOOK: Playoff team...possible conference final team? However, any significant injury to a rotation player down the stretch will put me at a major crunch for minutes since I'm barely scrapping by with the rotation players listed.

Aldridge out indefinitely. There goes my team.

Going to be reaaaaaaaaaally cutting it close on if I have enough minutes or not.

Who's ready to start trading? @Koya?!
Let me look - been so busy with life getting going in Dallas.  Would have more to deal if my players weren't sitting on the bench for 4-30 games. :-/

Total minutes have been trending down over the past decade but I don't see any major change this season.  If you account for one game still to play in 2016-17, the total minutes of the  top, 50th and 100th players in this category this year aren't significantly lower than in 15-16.  Stars may be rested more and it's definitely getting more publicity but I don't think it's going to be a bigger challenge across the board to fill a roster with enough minutes.

It probably varies team to team, but I've definitely experienced way more players being held out and "rested" than any year prior to this.

Next year (assuming Thibs is still there) I'm just gunna draft all T-wolves.

5 players x 48 minutes x 82 games = 19,680 minutes

Dragic: 2459 minutes
Lin: 883
Ennis: 588
Korver: 1753
Dudley: 1362
Mcdermott: 1508
Young: 2237
Booker: 1754
Drummond: 2409
Bertans: 808
Jordan: 2570
Koufos: 1419

Total: 19,750 minutes

PHEW.  I still might like to do some trading, usage seems like it might be an issue for me, but at least I don't have to trade for any minutes.

Now the fun starts.

My roster of 11 guys who will actually play, with min/82:

PG: Stephen Curry (33), Tim Frazier (19)

SG: Lou Williams (25), Wesley Matthews (31)

SF: Tobias Harris (32), Jeremy Lamb (14)

PF: Enes Kanter (19), David Lee (19)

C: Tristan Thompson (29), Aron Baynes (15), Timofey Mozgov (14)

Terrible 12th man options:

SG: Jonathon Simmons (17), PF Trey Lyles (15), PG Malcolm Delaney (16)

For those needing minutes, I could trade Matthews or any of the 3 bums above. If anyone needs scoring, I could trade Lou Williams (29.1 USG, .593 TS%) as him and Curry on the floor at the same time is probably overkill. Would want something good for him though.

PG - Rubio (2468), Ian Clark (1139), Tyus Jones (774)

--> Total minutes 21,188, and that doesn't use Solomon Hill's 2376 and Shelvin Mack's 1204. Anyone want a glut of wing minutes for a low number of efficient ones?

PG: Mike Conley (2291), Manu Ginobili (1290), Sergio Rodriguez (1516)

Wing: DeMar DeRozan (2620), Danny Green (1809), Wilson Chandler (2194), JJ Redick (2200)

Missing the cut: Hollis Thompson (752), Timothe Luwawu (1187), Tyler Ulis (1122), Corey Brewer (1279)

I have a plethora of extra minutes and would love trade some of them for upgrades, especially at PG or PF/C.

The Lakers spamming Tyler Ennis at the end of the season saves me from having to use Andrew Harrison's glorious 1474 minutes of 32.5%/27.6%3pt, 38.5 eFG%, 20AST%/16TOV%.

I was sweating out the minutes for a while there due to some injuries and just horrible depth on my team, but I had 8 guys all play over 1700 minutes (5 guys at 2200 or more). Lebron gutting out close to 2800 minutes and Jrue Holiday playing close to 2200 were both nice surprises. I also got some help from mid-season trades to guys like Nurkic, Ross, and even Labissiere.

My minutes per 82 games

G - Jeff Teague (32), Jrue Holiday (27), Will Barton (21), Terrence Ross (24)

F - LeBron James (34!), Chandler Parsons (8 ugh), Maurice Harkless (27), CJ Miles (22), Tarik Black (13), Skal Labissiere (7)

C - Marcin Gortat (31), Jusuf Nurkic (17)

Could swap in Dragan Bender (7) or Brandan Wright (5) for Skal depending on the final stats and D rankings.

Should be be a solid team.

GAH!!!

I'm using Tony Parker and Shuan Livingston at PG and I'm short 13 mpg at the PG spot, but really 36 quality minutes since Parker is doo-doo.

I'm willing to part with LaMarcus Aldridge (2335/28.5 mpg) for trade. Will need PG minutes and big man minutes in return.

Sounds like you're interested in Andrew Harrison.

Yikes, was just looking at some of the final stats. Looks like I'll probably put in statistical wonder Brandan Wright for crapfest bust of the draft Chandler Parsons. Didn't realize how awful he was this year (7.6 PER, 0.436 TS%).   Bender just as bad too.

PG
Brandon Jennings 22
Terry Rozier 15
Michael Carter-Williams 11 or CJ Watson 11
SG
Klay Thompson 32
Vince Carter 16
SF
Jae Crowder 28
DeMarre Carroll 15
Vince Carter 5
PF
Draymond Green 30
Joel Embiid 10
DeMarre Carroll 8
C
Willie Cauley-Stein 18
Meyers Leonard 15
Noah Vonleh 15

PG is gross. Would be willing to trade Embiid for PG help. Also have Gerald Green at 7 min/g and Josh Richardson at 20 min/g available. I guess one of MCW or Watson too.

So it looks like my squad will be like this:

Starters - Teague (32), Barton (21), James (34), Harkless (27), Gortat (31)

2nd Team - Holiday (27), Ross (24), Miles (22), Black (13), Nurkic (17)

Scrubs - Labissiere (7), Wright (5)

Are players loaded into WIS within a week ala baseball?  As of now, this is what I'm looking at (minutes are average per 82 games):

Not sure what to make of it, and three of the above wont make the final cut of 12, so I can certainly do a two for one type package. Seems that I have a lot of options at Center (especially since at least two, if not all three of my PF's can play center). So, if someone wants some front court help in exchange for an upgrade in my backcourt, let me know.  Anyone can be on the block, and I can send back any guard in a deal, but prime trade prospects are highlighted above.

I have plenty of extra minutes as well.  Most of them are pretty crappy.  Marcus Smart should come in at about 29 minutes per game, and I could trade him for an upgrade in the front court but would need a crappy point guard back as well.

I could use a some big man minutes.  Willing to move Mills or KCP depending on your needs.  I can pair one of them with O'Quinn if you need some minutes back.   or if someone just wants to trade scrub PF/C Minutes for scrub PG/SG minutes, I can move Brooks or Foye for a big man with similar minutes.  Worst case it look like Barnes will have to play 4 minutes of PF.

curious to see how this team fairs in the sim.  should be an easy playoff contender but how far can it do.  I made 200 more 3's than the next closest team, shooting them at a very high clip.

I have big man minutes - decent ones as well. Could use guard minutes and could I've some guard minutes back. Big guys and their minutes:

Tyson Chandler (16 mpg)

Zach Randolph (22 mpg)

Taj Gibson (24 mpg)

Luc Mbah a Mout (22 mpg)

Mile Muscala (15 mpg)

Willie Reed (13 mpg)

BTW, when do we expect rosters to be entered into WIS? I'd like to know position eligibility before dealing.

I keep checking but still don't see the 2016-17 season ratings in WIS yet.  can't be that much longer.
