OK JMon/8ebok24, it boils down to the Heat vs. Celtics for $50, right?
The Lakers are a great matchup for opposing guards, I agree. Best in the league? I'm not sure. However, none of this changes the fact that Paul took a band of scrubs, and got them to compete against a stacked roster, who is favored to win the championship, and probably has the most size in the NBA. It also doesn't change the fact that he was the best player on the court in this particular series.Chris Paul is an all time great. But lets be fair, this is the best matchup in the entire league for him, and Jack bailed him out at the end of Game 4 or else Paul would be sporting goat ears right now.'Britney Spears said:PS, I agree. Paul has been the best player in this series, including Kobe Bryant. No shtick.
There is no better matchup for quick PGs than LA, they don't have a single player on the roster that can slow them down. And minus West, the Hornets roster is pretty damn pathetic. They have Paul, a decent starting center in Okafor and 10 other players who are borderline nba talents. The Lakers are a great matchup for opposing guards, I agree. Best in the league? Other than Paul, that roster is gross. I would argue they may be worse than the LeBron-less Cavs.
Carl Landry's a good player. Belinelli, Ariza, and JJack are solid rotation players.I agree that without West the roster is pretty weak, but cupboard isn't completely bare. There is no better matchup for quick PGs than LA, they don't have a single player on the roster that can slow them down. Not one of those players should be more than a 7th/8th man type player on a championship team.Which supporting cast is worse? Detroit? Cleveland? Sacramento? Those are amazingly bad teams, but at least they have some young upside.Carl Landry's a good player. I agree - He's looking real good - causing all sorts of havoc for the NuggetsI think one of the underrated story lines of these playoffs has been the emergence of Serge Ibaka into a championship #3 option. IMO he's an emerging superstar, the Perk trade allowed him to play PF all the time and he's just been great. His weakside defense is as good as anybody else's in the league. His jumper is smooth and consistent. Great player, great find by Presti.

Was he seriously that high in the rotation with the Lakers? I did not realize that. I do agree he's the best of that group. He may be better than Landry, who is way overmatched on the defensive end.Ariza was a 5th/6th on a championship team![]()
There seems to be legitimate hatred, which is great entertainment of course.Perkins does some really dumb stuff.OKC and the fans really hate Nene.
Actually looking at the stats he was probably the 4th best player during the playoffs. He was hot from three point range all playoffs long.Shot 50%, 48% from 3pt land.4th leading scorer, rebounder, and in minutes. 3rd in assists.Kobe, Pau, and Odom were top 3. Ariza, Fish, and Drew all had their moments, Ariza probably the best overall. Was he seriously that high in the rotation with the Lakers? I did not realize that. I do remember he was extremely hot during that playoff run. IIRC, they would have lost one game without him tipping an inbound play. : (Actually looking at the stats he was probably the 4th best player during the playoffs. mcdyess and bonner have been abused by zach. splitter at least has size and lateral quickness to stay in front of the guy.Randolph is still able to do what he wants in the post. The Spurs just have not been able to solve this all series. 2 pt. game.
hyperbole much?Miracle shot by George Hill cuts it to 1.
Horrible, especially since the Sixers laid off fouling with 5 seconds left down 4. I thought this was a heckuva series for the Sixers. 4 of the 5 games were very competitive and their young guys got a ton of experience. Couldn't have ended a season better (outside of a title - duh) for them - great effort and coaching. Was that Wade dunk necessary![]()
I was in Hawaii for my graduation present to myself and my GF, that ####### game ruined an entire day of vacation.Yep, Game 1 of the WCF vs the NuggetsI do remember he was extremely hot during that playoff run. Guys mature. He always had talent - hard to believe he was essentially a dump for Quentin Richardson a few years back. Chris Wallace gets kudos for putting together this team.Since when did Zach Randolph become such a stud. Looks like he lost weight too.
Yeah, I'd say all of the above. But the biggest thing has been the matchup problem- no answer for Z-Bo down low.For those who didn't see much of this series....Did the Spurs just look OLD?Did Memphis play lights-out the whole series? Was this simply a bad matchup for San Antonio? All of the above?
Grizz borderline did on the strip and pop up. Looked like they were mugging them.AND..... that's why you foul.
