Go Blue and Go 'Dores!

FSU the #6 national seed. They get Miss St and Stetson in their regional. Winner gets Coastal Carolina or Clemson.

Clemson o\/\/ns FSU, so that's not a good sign.

Hi Bentley.

My Kent State Golden Flashes made it!

On a side note, does anyone know a good Baseball draft site? One that would have the top prospects and maybe a mock draft?

TIA

Well Baseball America is the best site, but its a premium site. There is some free content, but most is premium.

Good win for the Wolverines! Tough to win the regional if you lose that first game.

10-7 over Memphis!

GO DORES next!!!

Michigan beats Vanderbilt 4-3.

Vandy plays Austin Peay tomorrow and then the rematch (I hope) with M.

I'm still disappointed that M and Vanderbilt are in the same regional, but as long as one of them advances.

FSU, the #6 seed gets shut out at home by a pitcher with an era of 4.5

The annual Mike Martin Choke starting earlier than usual.

So FSU is out. Rice advances. Mizzou is getting pounded by Louisville.

Big game tonight -- Vanderbilt v. Michigan.

GO BLUE!!!

M hits a HR in the top of the 10th to knock off #1 Vanderbilt 4-3!

Its bittersweet -- I wish M and Vanderbilt played later -- but oh well.

GO BLUE! On to UVA or Oregon State!

Oregon State beats UVA today to advance.

They now get the honor of getting SMOKED by Michigan next weekend.

What a win last night for Rice. Down 2-1 in the 9th, they tie it up and win in 10. Tough loss for A&M.

M today at OSU at 3et.

GO BLUE!

Rice beats A&M 502 to become the second team to punch their Omaha ticket.

Mississippi State beat Clemson earlier to clinch a spot.

Game 2 of South Carolina v North Carolina was suspended because of rain tonight. They were in the bottom of the 7th inning with USC ahead 8-5. UNC won 9-6 on Friday night after USC took a 6-0 lead.

Mississippi's coach should be shot for the way he handled that game tonight. Had a 3-1 lead in the 9th, his pitcher went 8 strong, and then he trots him out there for the 9th (with a stud closer in the bullpen) -- watches him fill the bags with runners, AND STILL LEAVES HIM IN. In fact, he never took him out.

ASU predictably scores 3 to win. I'd be looking for blood if I was a Ole Miss fan.

15 innings into the Super Regional and Wichita State still hasn't scored a run.

Its only 2-0 UCI, so the Shockers still got a shot if they can ever score.

Wow. Controversy in Wichita.

The Shockers tied it at 2 in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. Earlier in the inning, however, a batter was called out at first. The home plate umpire then overruled the first base ump and called him safe. Replay shows he was out -- bad overruling.

Two outs in the ninth and OSU gets its first hit. 1-0 OSU in the top of the 9th.DAMMIT!
kid pitched a gem.....bad timing. Not many balls to the outfield by either team today. You'd never guess Michigan was an offensive juggernaut all year.

Yes but the Michigan LF should have his scholarship revoked right now. That hit barely made it into left field and the LF threw a one hopper to home plate. It was the absolute weakest throw I have ever seen in baseball. The runner had barely reached 3rd as the LF was picking up the ball with all his momentum going towards home for the throw. I would believe he was throwing the game if it was later proven to be true. Just pathetic. I could have thrown out the runner from there easily and I don't even play softball.

Look at Louisville mounting Okie State in a graphic manner. They have played 5 innings and the leadoff batter has scored in each inning for UL. They have 2 5-run innings and a 4-run inning. 16-2 at the end of the fifth. Oh the horror for Okie State.

The CWS is all settled but the MI/OSU winner.UCIUNCRiceCSFMiss StLouisvilleASU
So, does this make Rice the favorite?
OSU beats M. :) Congrats to the Beavers. As for Rice, they probably are the favorite, but I think they are a lot like last year -- they can pitch A LOT, but I just wonder how much offensive they have. Not sure they have enough.

CWS starts tomorrow:

Game 1 -- Rice (54-12) vs. Louisville (46-22), 2 p.m. (ESPN2)Game 2 -- North Carolina (53-13) vs. Mississippi State (38-20), 7 p.m. (ESPN2)June 16Game 3 -- UC Irvine (45-15-1) vs. Arizona State (46-13), 2 p.m. (ESPN)Game 4 -- Oregon State (44-18) vs. Cal State Fullerton (38-23), 7 p.m. (ESPN)
Rice and UNC have pretty favorable matchups there in the first round. I like UNC or ASU to win it all.

I don't agree with how Wayne Graham handles his pitching staff most of the time, but its pretty hard to argue with Rice's success.

Right now, who has a better program than Rice? Pretty hard to make an argument.

UNC has to be in the conversation I guess. They're pretty strong at the moment. Rice/UNC in the same bracket right? That would be a hell of a game. Rice/Louisville starting now :goodposting:This is a really great 8-team tournament. It usually is the most exciting baseball until October.
